E-Z Sonic ultrasonic threaded inserts for plastic are durable enough for the toughest environments and versatile enough to meet the needs of any application with superior torque and pull-out resistance. The brass thread inserts are designed for putting standard machine threads in 3D printed and thermoplastic parts. Install these metal thread inserts ultrasonically or with a heat driver. Available in straight threaded inserts in flush or flanged configuration and tapered threaded inserts in single and double vane.

I used these inserts in conjunction with a jig I designed and printed to make pool ball shifter knobs for some friends with square body Chevy trucks. 31/64 bit made the perfect hole to press fit a heated insert. No adhesive necessary.
