BPV31 bullet piercing valve 3 in 1 access for air conditioners HVAC, these bullet piercing valves fit 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" tubing.

Instructions for use :

  • 1. To clean the lines before piercing in order to prevent debris from getting into the refrigerant lines
  • 2. Before installing valve, make sure that the special compound sealβ€œO” ring is in position
  • a.Position both halves of valve on the tube with the proper insert

  • b.Install the three socket head screws and tighten evenly
  • c.To pierce line, tighten valve stem clockwise with hex wrench
  • 3. Remove cap and connect charging hose to open valve turn valve stem counter-clockwlse with hex wrench. Make sure valve is closed before disconnecting hose. Reinstall cap for added protection

I needed to drain-off the little bit of refrigerant and oil still remaining in an old Coke machine cooling assembly. Since it was so old that there were no Schrader valves in the system, this was the only alternative I had to do the work. And, it did work!

I like them better then the supco this one has a o ring and seals great I used it on a R290 system and checked for leaks after . The key to the install is to tighten all the screws down equally tell it bottoms out dont over tighten it or you will break it
