These are my favorite corkscrew! It is all metal and thin so it’s easy to pack or take anywhere. I leave one in my truck and has come in handy multiple times while camping or over at a friends house when no one else had a corkscrew! Plus Made in Italy is really awesome. When I bought these they were only $2.99 each and were great for the price! Now they are selling for over $15 and not worth that price. There are much better options out there for $15.

This is a waiters key in its most basic form. While there are some issue with the components not being de-burred prior to hitting the brake, plating and assembly I still rate it at 5 stars. The entire unit is made of a heavy gauge steel, the pins are considerably larger than the majority of wine keys out there, especially at this price point. At less than $6 its priced with pull tab knock offs but made with components that are almost 50% thicker. I had to knock some sharp edges off with a file, but I’ll take that over a similar priced unit with better finish but made from far inferior quality components that a year from now will be in the trash, which if your reading this Im sure you are looking to replace one for that very reason. on a side note, this thing is completely ferrous, I think its plated carbon steel, Id keep it out of the dishwasher especially if you had to clean up some burrs and sharp edges left from the stamping. Its a little rough, but the build quality is impressive beyond its price point. If you find carbon steel, leather goods and mechanical objects of yesteryear to be a little romantic then this might be for you.

I bought this to replace another waiter's corkscrew I lost and was disappointed with how cheaply made it was.

I bought this, in part, because it has a straight (not serrated) foil cutter. At least, that's what's in the picture. But that isn't what I received. You should be aware, too, that the aggregated star rating does not apply specifically to the product you are viewing. I suspect that, had this opener been rated separately, it would not score so highly.

Been trying to find a good pocket wine opener. My wife had the best one ever going back to the days she worked as a server. She took it on vacation with us but put it in the carry on bag and it was confiscated. This one has come the closest so far to matching it. We give it an 8 out of 10 rating.

The blade to cut wine bottle foil is shown to e a blade but is actually a serrated edge and can only be used to rip apart the foil. I'll have to attack it with my Dremel tool to make it like the product photos.

I like the utility of a simple corkscrew with the added plus that it can also serve as a bottle opener during those times when I just want to have a beer. I stopped short of giving this 5 stars because the all metal design is a little hard on the hands when leveraging the cork out of the bottle. Otherwise, great opener.
