Used twice and the buckle broke. My horse wasn’t hard on it. The bag seems to be good quality.

Light weight, easy to use, lasted well - as well as bags considerably more expensive.

It’s a decent feed bag but the plastic clip broke quickly and my horse wasn’t doing anything to break it. Doesn’t come with the crown pad either like the smaller one did.

I bought two of these for a friend with two show oxen who are sloppy eaters. It was a great frustration to him that his oxen wasted so much expensive grain, and these feed bags (draft sized) turned out to be the perfect solution. They fit the oxen quite well and solved the spilled grain problem. These bags are well-constructed and tough enough to stand up to these animals. We bought a replacement when one became lost, apparently blown out of the trailer somehow. He wanted to replace it with the exact same product because the worked perfectly with his animals.

NOT NEARLY as heavy duty as the Cashel brand, BUT these are half the price, so if your horses are gentle to their bags, I’d recommend these! In comparison to Cashel, these have a softer noseband wire that and bends, but easily bends back, the canvas at the bottom is less thick and doesn’t keep its shape (cashel has a clear coating over the fabric so it’s more waterproof if it gets wet), and the strap is a lot weaker. The strap and noseband wire aren’t as much of a problem because you can reattach the strap or bend back the nose. The actual canvas bag is the issue for me, in less than 3 months my yearling ripped the bottom off along the stitching of the base (by where his lips/chin would go) because he stepped on it, if the bag kept its shape better he wouldn’t have been able to do this so easily, it’s hard to explain but the spot he was able to step on is the problem, and he was able to step on that spot due to it being so floppy. Overall I’m not upset with the product though, as he really put his bag through the ringer.

We have had this bag for nearly 2 years now. The bag and straps have held up beautifully. It still looks brand new! Only downfall is the plastic clip. It broke at about 3 months old. We substituted with a metal clip and the strap still holding amazingly well with no wear pattern. The mesh is very breathe able that I'm not worried about my horse loosing air.We wash every other day with Dawn dish soap & green backing sponge. Everything comes off really easily & we even give oil & molasses liquid supplement!!Sizing - the strap is very forgivable. We ordered a medium for 16hands QuarterHorse. It works well to be large enough his food fits very well! The metal circle seems a little big around but it doesn't bother him.

This bag vs others I have used: it is steadier and after few days out of package it stays open and up. None of the others do. This makes it easier to fill and put on. It has a solid bottom and stiff ring around top. The ring makes It easier to an eager horse's muzzle in and firm bottom keeps the food up so the horse can get all it. Other bags tend to collapse on them self and droops. Other styles are hard to get on and often food is missed as the bag sags traps feed in folds. My husband calls the other styles "taper bags" cause of droopy their give the horse a sort of trunk look. I like these bags cause they are stiff vs the others as the horses throw their heads in an a temp to get the food where they can eat it. These bags keep the food where they can get it. I have bought sizes average horse and large horse and with close with large horse is huge and I do mean HUGE.
