I own a 1974 Ducati 350 Desmo, after rebuilding the master cylinder and caliper twice, replacing the hose and fitting double H pads the brake was still very poor, in desperation I bought this, fitted easily, bleed up in about five minutes and the brake now works perfectly. Doesn't look period but at least I can ride my bike now. If I was going to put my bike into a show I can always put the original Brembo mastercylinder back on.

I recommend this for anybody looking for a repair or upgrade to their two-wheeler. Just be aware of the angle of the banjo bolt. I was not able to mount it because of the brake line I had, so I couldn't keep it.

I have a 1987 Kawasaki KLR250 I bought recently. It was pretty much a basket case and among the many problems was that the master cylinder was weeping. I could have rebuilt to original but it had a broken handle and for the price of a rebuild kit and handle I could get a brand new one. I have no idea what the bore size of this MC is but it works perfectly for my single piston, single front caliper on my KLR. If you have multi piston or multi caliper (or both) the piston size on this may be too small. For anything with a single smallish piston and single caliper this should work fine. One issue I did have with this master is getting the master to bleed. Most modern bikes have a bleeder screw on the master to get fluid to the piston and get the bleeding process started. This doesn't have one. The first time I installed the MC I was able to crack the banjo bolt at the MC and get fluid to flowing. I recently replaced the front brake hose and had to re-bleed the system. It took me hours and hours and every trick in the book to get fluid to start flowing. I tried everything. I was eventually able to get fluid to pull through the system with a vacuum bleeder but for hours not even that would work for some unknown reason. Once bled everything works perfectly.

There was another review that mentioned the KLR250 amd Im glad it did. For the first time owning this bike I actually have good brake pressure. Took a few minutes to bleed but I can finally stop. I like the see through reservoir, shouldn't be a problem a lot of big adventure bikes have plastic ones. The banjo bolt fits the stock line as well. Brake light switch works the same. Lever is the same length. Would buy again.

Update 5/23/2023This was the cheapest piece of junk. It started corroding after a few months internally and externally. I finally pulled it today as I was having braking issues. The controller unit fell apart was completely corroded internally. The inside metal was corroded with pant coming off blocking the brake line inlet.Just go oem or full metal not plastic for brake fluid!!!Direct bolt on, works with the steel braided stock line. Easy instal. I wish the reservoir was a little more stream line or smaller with just a view hole but it works

Update: Noticed a crack in the master cylinder after a few years, won't hold fluid anymore.Works great! I was honestly surprised. I like that the reservoir is a bit small compared to my old one. But it moves plenty of fluid. Between this and a new brake line, my brakes are better than they've ever been since I've owned this bike. Put it on an '81 XV750 Virago.

Works perfectly for smaller bikes, or older bikes. I wouldn't trust it on a bigger bike.
