I tried using a Felpro 1 piece gasket and I had leaks. This was my fault. I looked on the Canton website and they say you have to use a 4 piece gasket, and that you can use a 1 piece because the stamping of the pan is different than the pans that do require a 1 piece. Lesson learned.

The key to doing this the right way is to make sure there's no oil dripping on to the seal for at least 24 hours. First, I drained the oil, took the pan off, waited about 5 days for all of the oil to drip down from the engine, once I was sure there was no more oil left, I proceeded to apply a bead of gasket seal and the gasket, I then tightened the bolts about 30% of the way, waited a day then tightened all the bolts to my car manufacturers suggested torque.
