Great value and stellar results.I have a 1988 Sheraton—that hasn’t been used for years and years—with a a fretboard I’ve never conditioned… and I suspect previous owners never did too. Why? Because it was tinder dry and so pale it looked like a completely different wood.I couldn’t find my lemon oil in the house so purchased this Fender product based on its good reviews.I applied one liberal coat, waited for it to soak in, then another, lighter coat. The result: a dark, rich shine, revealing a slightly vintaged patina. Stunning.

I was first annoyed when I got the bottle - it is tiny. However, I used it on a rosewood and also a pau ferro fingerboard and it is amazing. It made both darker (which is what I wanted) and brought out the grain. It's a more saturated dark compared to the typical lemon oils (which tend to wear off quickly.) Great product and I hope that the application will last a while.

If you need this then you have a large build up otherwise use a cloth & liquid polish. So if there’s a large build up, this doesn’t work. I had to use the scrub side of a sponge to rid the grim. Bottom line, this product is useless.

This polish leaves your guitar beautiful! But use it sparingly, a little goes a long way.

I bought this because I have 2 guitars with Pau Ferro fretboards and I watched a video that said Fender's Remedy would darken the wood.Well it didn't, but I will say that it really brought new life into a fretboard I had always felt was pretty dull. All of the grain is now highlighted and the sheen on the wood is very nice. I have new appreciation for Pau Ferro as a fretboard material. I also used it on my rosewood necks and got similar results.

I bought a new Fender American Professional Strat back in January. I thought the rosewood neck would have come nicely oiled even if it was manufactured about 6 months before I bought it. I hadn’t had a rosewood neck for a long time so I forgot what they really looked or felt like but I noticed it was pretty light and had some patterning to it. It turns out that fretboard was thirsty! So I used this stuff on it and the board ate it up. It’s nice and dark without losing any of the nice light streaks and natural pattern of the wood.A little goes a long way. Just enough of a dab to get a terry cloth moist in a spot and then rub the fretboard between each fret. My guitar had only been used for around six months and not only did it hydrate the wood but a bunch of gunk was cleaned off my fretboard too. The top frets are nice and hydrated but since I don’t play too far down the neck I may need to do another pass on the higher frets. This doesn’t need to be used all the time. Once or twice a year should be more than enough. Even with a dry board in a dry climate, as long as you’re playing your guitar and hydrating it once in a great while you’re good to go. This bottle looks like it’ll last for quite a while for me.The last thing I’ll say about this is that it can get messy. I tried hard to keep it on the wood and off my actual frets. I got the tiniest bit on the guitar itself near the neck joint in the front and there’s a greasy oily spot on the finish now. It’s easy enough to clean up with a dry cloth or paper towel but just be careful because you’ll end up finding greasy spots all over if you don’t. And be sure to wash your hands when you’re done so you don’t get it all over your strings. For me, doing it during a string change is obviously the easiest and best time to do it and I make sure it’s all soaked in before putting strings on. Again, don’t use too much. The fretboard shouldn’t feel oily.
