But as a songwriter, he has always turned to his old Fender concert-style acoustic for inspiration. The Tim Armstrong Hellcat is based on Armstrong's own classic instrument, with modern appointments including high-quality onboard electronics. A great guitar for pop, rock, folk and more, it has a solid mahogany top for especially sweet sound and a satin-finish maple neck for smooth playability.

Was pleasantly surprised with this guitar. Had it in tune 20 minutes out of the box. Sounds beautiful and is easy to play for a 12 strings even on the higher frets. First mail order acoustic I've really enjoyed and can recommend.

I’m a big fan of Tim Armstrong so this guitar with its hellcat inserts on the fretboard were a nice touch. I’ll likely never use the plug in or the auto tuner as long as fender offers free tuners on your phone. The sound is great, colour is awesome.

I really did not have high expectations for a budget 12 string guitar... I almost returned it day one... I did need to do a bit of set up on it, graphite the nut slots, adjust the intonation slightly, & re-tune... since it was 12 new strings.... But after the strings settled (probably 8-12 times re-tuning) & 5+ hours of play.... WOW!!! I never owned or played a 12-string that had NO BUZZING FRETS all the way up the neck. I absolutely love this guitar! I immediately installed my Tonewood amp & this thing sounds magical. I would suggest ordering some lighter gauge, better quality strings to make it easier to play for longer periods of time but... WOW. I highly suggest this guitar... I enjoy this as much as my Taylor & Gibson guitars... I have never said that about anything this low cost.

Took a gamble and ordered “Used Like New” to save some dough. Couple of blemishes and a little hole that looks like someone missed the mark when trying to plug it in, but doesn’t affect the sound quality! Still a GORGEOUS looking and sounding, very playable guitar with action like an electric. *note: the preamp is different than the one in the pictures, but gets the job done

It's beautiful and that Fender Wildcat guitar is not only acoustic but also equipped for adding an amplifier for those that love the sound of an electric guitar. It is left handed absolutely beautiful and worth a lot more in the music shops in my town. Folks it would make an awesome gift a memory for years yo come and the sound is beyond words, such richness and beauty of the acoustic. Great gift for the up coming Holidays especially for s lover of quality sound and the radiance of A FENDER WILDCAT at such s very low price. I thank the person that sells and picked such beauty completely and for the price and Amazon for offering the best of those folks that search for true quality in their products. THANK YOU BOTH. Forgive my mistake in the name it is a Fender Tim Armstrong He'll cat. !!!

These people will always give you the best review up top. Professionalism one out of five stars .Had a problem with a bad sound from guitar and tuner not working properly. Currently taking a long time to get a refund. They always want their money upfront but when you have an issue they take their time giving you your money back. Three out of five stars and that is being generous.

Was looking for a left handed acoustic guitar. I have a Fender Electric that I really like so I decided to look for a Fender acoustic/electric. Came across this Tim Armstrong Left handed Fender. I love this guitar! It’s a sharp looking guitar and has really nice sound. The flat wood finish on it gives it character. Hoping it doesn’t scratch easily but so far there has not been a problem. Very happy with this guitar and I believe it’s a great value for the money.

The pictures don't do justice to looks, it's a beautiful looking, contrast to the body and neck woods. installed battery, turned strings in with onboard tuner,NICE! plugged into amp to make sure everything works as it did great sound.Unplugged acoustic -unreal! Yea the fisher electronics is awesome, but I was looking for a certain sound and this has it. The second thing I needed was an easy action and man!-I could not put this guitar down. Right out of the box, played put it down, played, I thought my imagination was gone. But man, the action is fantastic. Being left handed was the #3 and Tim and Fender got it right.HELLCAT yea!

I love it. Highly recommend. I was always a fan of Rancid growing up, and having Tim Armstrong’s custom guitar is awesome! And having an actual Fender at this price point is amazing. The frets have sweet Hellcat emblems and skulls on them!! And it even came with a Rancid “let’s go!” Guitar strap, which was a very nice surprise.Only one issue... the edges of the frets are very sharp, and scratch my fingers, so you’ll probably need to file them down. Other than that this thing sounds and looks absolutely superb, and I am very very happy with it.Also it stays in tune, which I appreciate very much, because I’ve had a lot of guitars that do not. 5 stars!!!!!!!!

Although a relative beginner, I have bought 6 acoustic guitars for under $400 each in the past several months. Three are smaller "travel size", which are fun to play and good for smaller people/hands, and one is a full size acoustic/electric dreadnought w/cutout. The Hellcat (not to be confused with Hello Kitty) is easily the best one of the bunch. Smaller than a dreadnought, because it's concert size, it was very well set up right out of the box, and the fretboard embellishments are an added bonus (Cats and Skulls are my thing). The action is great and the tone is good, very easy to play. And, yes, it did come with the custom strap.
