Good snap-in template for OF1400 router. Bought several templates like this in different sizes, a lot handier than inserts. That said, I do highly recommend the Powertec 71221 router template kit if you’re looking for a cost-effective and high quality way to greatly expand your template options.

Festool tools are no longer of good quality. This is among them..

this guide bushing is great, it snaps directly into place on the festool OF 1400 router. I used this guide to make a handhold cutout in a set of stairs that I built for a garage. The guide bushing really works great and was easy to snap into place. highly recommended.

I bought this as an accessory for my Festool OF 1400 router to be able to rout dadoes in a furniture project. The 24mm is almost 1", which is what I really needed. The set of Porter-Cable template guides that I own, which will work with the adapter that comes with the router, does not include a 1" OD guide, so I needed an extra. This was as close as I could get quickly, and it worked fine. Festool does make 1" and other Imperial size adapters, but Amazon doesn't carry them and I needed this quickly. While the Porter-Cable type guides are less expensive, the Festool guides are actually easier to use as they just snap into the router base, rather than having to screw the two-piece guides into the adapter that comes with the router. The disadvantage is the price. It makes sense for unusual sizes or, especially, metric sizes that are not commonly available here.
