After the frustrations of dealing with cane reeds on the bass clarinet, I've been working my way through the various synthetic reeds. The Legere gave me kind of a fuzzy sound. The Bravo reeds (actually, tenor sax reeds repurposed for the bass clarinet) didn't work reliably. But the Fibracell has worked really well from the first day on. I've used it every day for over a month and fully expect to do so for months to come. Definitely recommend trying them if you're looking for synthetic reeds for the bass clarinet.

Easy reed to play. Unlike the softer Fibracell reeds, the 4 plays well in the highest register. Very disappointed that the reed backing delaminated after about 3 weeks of playing. The adhesive allowed the backing to migrate down the reed, and then the tip started splitting. A very playable reed became instantly worthless.

My daughter loves this! Sounds great, durable, comfortable. Much better than regular reeds. She’s been playing for years and this is the first synthetic she’s used. Says she will not go back to the others.

I had used another brand of synthetic reed and our instrument repair tech suggested these. I used them on a C Melody sax, so I use the bass clarinet size, and I really liked these reeds. They feel pretty natural and perform very well.

This has a pretty close look and feel to a real reed. Good for when you have to switch instruments quickly and don’t have time to moisten the reed.

This is a sturdy and resonant reed. I enjoy playing my bass clarinet with it! I'm sure it will last a long time.
