Having a reasonably lightweight, long lead like this one can be invaluable for a number of uses. First and foremost, it is a great lead for doing recall training. I've also used one when I'm on the agility course and need to give my dog so room while still needing the ability to get him back under firm control if needed. Finally, and the main purpose I ordered this lead, was to let my dog have some extra room to roam when we are exploring the outdoors. We like to do a lot of hikes in the mountains where we rarely run across other people. Despite that fact, it is important to keep my dog safe and under control--especially in locations where you rangers can ticket you if you are unable to demonstrate perfect recall. This 33 foot lead is a great length to let my pup have some space to explore while still being able to keep him safe. It is light enough and compact enough that I won't mind keeping it in a backpack, and the bright color makes him easy to see if it is dark. The last aspect of this lead I'll highlight is a great, sturdy clip. Overall, I feel like this is a solid product at a good price.

Super bright long (thirty feet) leash with a very comfortable padded handle at the end, and also a handle closer to where it hooks onto the dog for a quick correction. Hook attaches easily and securely to our dog's collar and the hook has a rotating base so that the leash itself doesn't twist and turn. Our dogs already know their recall, we use this mainly on field hikes in open areas so that the dogs can run ahead a bit, but still be secured. It is also great for allowing them to swim in the lake, making it easier to pull them back in when they start to tire and can't find their footing. The leash itself is well built, sturdy, but lightweight and easily manageable. Reasonably priced and feels like it will last.

This is a nice leash for training or for allowing your dog a little more space to roam and explore safely when it’s ok to do so. I like that it is made from woven nylon like the traditional flat leashes, because those things seem to last forever. Nice and thick, I’ve never had the flat leashes really hurt my hands unless my dog was really pulling, but the padding on the handles is a nice touch and I really like that it has a handle at a shorter distance as well.Bright color helps me see any slack so I don’t get caught in a loop when my dog decides to jolt into a faster pace/run.You won’t have as much control with this as a shorter leash - as that’s not the point, so make sure you’ve worked with your dog on walking nicely and listening, but it does allow for added security for the transition between short leash and perhaps ecollar when you and they are still perfecting a recall.Clasp initially felt and looked like plastic, which concerned me! But I’ve determined it’s metal (it “clinks” right on other metal”), just lightweight. Appears to hold up and is durable enough.

My office at work is dog-friendly, so she comes in sometimes, but I tend to keep her leashed in my office. This leash gives her plenty of room to move around and I can cinch it short enough to she can lay right outside my office and see people going by and try to get pets, but not let her go roaming around by herself. It's bright enough colored to see at night as well, and my 80lb girl certainly couldn't break it. Good leash, good price.

We needed a new tie out for our dog when we're car camping. Sometimes it gets really dark and she's a black dog so she disappears until one of us trips on the tie. With this 33ft orange tie out not only will we see the color but it's reflective the entire length so we can just flash a head lamp and we can see it. It's a little long to use just as a leash but in a pinch we could. The clasp that attaches to the dog's collar is heavy duty. The clasps are the first thing to break on these, but I know this one won't. I attached to my dog's collar to make sure it's not too heavy. She's only 25 pounds but it was fine. This is a better tie out because it doesn't have weak points like the one with rubber over wire- we've had those get a bend then break when the weather is colder. Thankfully our dog didn't know she was untethered. The new tie out is washable, soft but tough, and can roll up without tangling. I feel like the leash material is as strong as a seatbelt. I'm very pleased.

I bought this leash because my mini poodle’s trainer wanted me to work on recalls. With spring arriving soon, the lead offered a welcome opportunity to proceed outdoors. I also wanted to provide my dog more space to run freely once she developed greater discipline. The fabric is quite sturdy. The 2 white stripes on the black lead give it some visibility. I would, however, have preferred a color to make the lead more visible lying on the grass. Another downside is that for smaller dogs (mine is 13 lb.) the clasp is weighty, I think the lead will be suitable for our training sessions, but not for longer wear.I have begun to work with her “sit stay” at 15 feet and will gradually increase the distance after she complies up to 50 feet. It is a good training range. I will begin with the recall training, not introducing the notion of moving freely until the latter is fully reinforced. Other sorts of training exercises can be pursued outdoors. It will, no doubt, take some time and patience for the dog to maintain attention given the many outdoor distractions.I recommend this product especially for owners who want to extend their dog’s training outdoors without the risk of the dog’s running off. It is, of course, important to employ the leash on fairly flat smooth grass to avoid its catching in weeds, etc.

It’s exactly what they describe it to be. The color is vibrant, the material is sturdy, reflection parts reflect beautifully and it’s long! My dog loves the “almost” freedom he gets!
