Yeah. Don't work. Thought I could just put into socket to check if it's live. Nope. Nothing. Doesn't light up. Maybe good for mini screwdrivers but that's it. Messed up. Not happy.

The quality of the product is very poor the metal is weak the plastic is fragileBut the convenience that you get from having this tool is unmatched so it would break I didn't pay too much money for it at least the screw won't get damaged it's my go-to and it's good that there are a couple more in the toolboxEven though I am whining and moaning about the quality I was definitely buy a few more pack of those as soon as mine are gone and the way that I abuse them they probably will be gone

Like many of the reviewers already said, the light is so faint that you can hardly notice it if there is ambient light around you. It has to be really dark for you to notice.Also a couple of the testers came in disassembled as if used.Not super happy with the product, but I guess i can deal with it.

Had to push hard to get the contacts to touch so they would work, and they are now stuck in that position. The indicator light is extremely dim, and the probe is a little too wide to test a socket easily.

As a licensed master electrician. I use this toolto detect the presence of power. Sometimes help me determine if neutral has been lost or in a circuit box if power is passing through the breaker. Have used a too like this for over 35 years. Wouldn't be with out it. Needed a new one to teach my grandson elemental electricity.
