These film canisters were just as advertised and worked perfectly for my class STEAM activity!

I've not tested these contianers for being able to contain pressurized product or liquids, but they are absoutely secure...too secure...for the purpose I bought them, of organized a few weeks' worth of daily vitamins and supplements. As such, I've reused them often with no hint of a lid gradually wearing and getting loose. If you need to keep something tightly secure and this is the right volume, then you'll be satisfied, but if you want to get into the containers with some measure of ease, prepare to be VERY disappointed, hence they lose one star. Even the old Fujifilm film canisters which these remind me of were secure, but far more easily opened, perhaps because the plastic wasn't quite as rigid. All these need to be a 5-star product is a protruding tab or lip that allows one to pop the top more easily. As I routinely recap them as each one is opened and emptied, to help keep them clean for reuse later, when the time comes to fill them all once again, the easiest way I've found to open them is using a grapefruit spoon, its toothed edge managing to grab the lid edge and pop it off.

I use these to store small amounts of mixed paint or solvents and they work great. I can store paint in these for years and they don’t dry out.I was getting worried about not being able to find these now that film is not as popular to use, so I decided to buy the canisters in bulk so I have a good supply.Something I did notice that I don’t like about them as I’ve used them for the past month is that the lids are difficult to get off. The diameter of the lid is exactly the same as the canister, and the lid fits tight, so you don’t have anything to grab onto to pop them off.

Some of the canisters didn't seal as tightly as I would have liked so the rockets sometimes fizzled. Otherwise product was fine.

First off, the ad is somewhat misleading in the wording that indicates these hold 8 ounces; not hardly. A normal fill up of water with room for the cap only yields 30ml or just a shade over 1 ounce. A letter to the vendor indicating same has been sent and this nebulous wording has been pointed out. Quite possibly, the reference to 8 ounce might be in regards to something in the plastics industry as an identifier but to the average consumer, it indicates a little container will hold 8 ounces. The lids on these are tight and it does take some effort to get them off but the advantage is that in a leak test of water, nothing spilled out. I like the design in that the lid diameter is just a tad larger than the diameter of the body proper and this prevents the lid from coming off if it catches something in your pocket or when placed in a storage box. Serrated edges on the lid aid in the removal. These are nice for storage of small parts, pills and all the tiny things we seem to lose.I bought the white containers as you can write on them with a Sharpie and you can do it also on the opaque units; black containers, not so much.60 of them for 12.69 and free shipping, a deal for me. To make it clear, that is 60 containers AND 60 lids, not 60 'pieces' as some vendors advertise.Photo enclosed, not much to show. They are film containers.
