I’m all about both safety and containing messes; he tends to be full speed ahead and clean it up later. I like this for both the safety and the collection of debris aspect. He’s recently gotten into riveting, welding, smelting… various metal activities up in his barn. I like that this can be used as a curtain or taken on the road if he needs to move his whole metal operation to somewhere else on our property or if and when he takes the show on the road. He’s currently got it as a sort of rug on the concrete floor of the barn, and it makes me feel better as a safety precaution. It feels substantial and well made, and though I have no experience with other products like it, I have faith in this one. Love that it’s made in the US!

Works well. I have kind of small space for my mig welding(weekend warrior:)). And this is kind of solution to protect other spaces from spreading of welding subproducts.It is firm enough to stand it. I use strong magnets to hold it around steel welding table.Price is ok.Like i said works well for me.

The protector is much lighter than I expected. It's soft, but firm enough to be able to stand up on its own. I am currently adding a second floor to a metal building. I am welding close to the foam sprayed insulation and I needed a way to keep the sparks off it. I was using a cheap foreign made fiberglass blanket, but it was difficult setting up and having it draped all over me during welding. I am now able to stand this up where needed and it does the job perfectly. It's much thicker than the old fiberglass blanket and much easier to move around set up. I've also used it to sweat some copper fittings for water pipe up against a wall. Did a fantastic job. Best of all, it's made in the USA. Should last my entire lifetime.

Getting together a whole set of welding gear for a son who asked to learn how to weld. He's got a family member who does it professionally and he offered to teach him.We can't pass up a deal like that.He has a shop where he does it but for my son to practice outside of that I really wanted something to keep our home safe.So I decided to order this to be sure it happened.It's heavy.I got the nod from his dad. So I think that means it's a good item.

In my opinion this is a really nice welding blanket. It's pretty thick but I was surprised that it feels reasonably light in weight for it's size. It has grommets so it can be hung if need be but I'm using this one primarily as a blanket to lay over surfaces while welding. Everything about this blanket appears to be very well made and I don't see any flaws in the material or workmanship. This is a really handy item for me to have in the shop and since ordering it I've used it almost every time I've had welding work to do.Overall I'm really pleased with the performance of this blanket and I love the fact that it's made in the U.S.A. In my opinion it definitely shows through in the high quality of the item. I highly recommend it.

This is quite the quilt. It works great for putting on my smoker to help keep the temperature more even. I am using some heavy duty magnets to hold it on the smoker. It helps to cut down on the wind hitting the smoker. I have also used this under a friends vehicle while welding. It kept me from getting burned. Quilt doesn't mess around. It is quite robust, strong, and to the point. i am happy to have this and I would get this again if I needed to. 5 stars all day long.

Surprisingly light and easy to store. I can actually do some small jobs without a fire watch constantly over my shoulder. It works great and so far there’s barely a mark on it.
