Just had to take out of the box and install feet and handles. Built much sturdier than I thought it would be.

I already had something similar, but order this for something more stable. The one I had was great except that if I pulled on the door handles, I had to hold onto the frame. This one is a little taller, nicer quality, and I love the design at the top. When I tend the fire, I usually move the screen completely out of my way. When I did that, this screen was heavier, but, also, and little hotter than my other screen. I note this because the listing indicates "capable of withstanding high temperatures". This is certainly believable, given the quality, but I didn't expect it to be hot to the touch. I've become used to it, but I didn't have the issue with my old one. In addition, I was excited about the 'feet', since I haven't seen other screens with this feature. My husband likes to have the doors open while the fire is going (to me that defeats the purpose, but to each his own), to allow more of the heat to come into the room. When I do this, that's where the balance issue comes in. It makes the unit heavier on the side with the open doors, and the feet should be heavier to retain the balance. This seems to me to be a design issue. I have to adjust how angled the sides are, and how far onto the stone base I have the unit, before I consider it stable enough to step away from it. I will likely resume using my old one due to this issue.

I love this fireplace screen. It looks amazing! It's great quality and the doors... the doors are magnetic! The magnets are strong so no worries about them easily coming open. A great upgrade from the one I had before.
