These look good and do the job but they are very hard to install. I finally got one on and it looks good but I ruined the connector ring trying to get the other one installed. I have had to order another set so I have the connector ring and I will use another reviewer's suggestion about propping the ring open. I selected this product because it has connector rings. My screen was a chain pull and the chain broke so I didn't have any pre-existing pulls with connectors. These pulls have to be installed just inside the fireplace and just above your field of vision. Lighting is difficult and and the installer must be able to maintain an uncomfortable position for as long as it takes to make the installation. I suggest having a game plan before starting this project.UPDATE: 1/28/2025 I was able to install the second pull without too much trauma. Using the other reviewer's hint, I worked the connecting ring open. (I used a table knife.) I was able to work a bit from my electric screwdriver into the space. The bit was a good choice because it is tapered and I was able to widen the opening without damaging anything. It took two tries but the pull is in place. I'm not sure the project was worth $22+ dollars (two sets), but it is fixed and I must admit it is satisfying.

Take a sharp tip knife and from below the ring gently push wiggle it up through the tight overlapped parts. Then wedge something between to hold it, like a metal pick, remove the knife, then catch the ring edge into the chain mail and rotate.

Product is deceptively depicted. It is extremely small, rather frail, difficult to attach and inadequate for the intended application.

Invested about an hour in painstaking installation -- bloodied and battered fingertips trying to open the circular rings. Finally had to open one with a razor blade. Other than that, once installed, they work fine! Suggest asking someone you don't like to install them for you.
