This net is absolutely junk. It says saltwater but the weights are totally rusted out after half a dozen times. Each time I rinsed off with freshwater the weights, the net and all parts but it didn't matter....it still rusted terribly. When a weight starts to rust it catches all parts of the net when thrown making it very difficult to control. In addition the plaster retainer ring at the top of the net popped apart after 15 minutes of use and now will not stay snapped. At last 3 times in a 15 minute period it comes undone. This may sound crazy but I wouldn't pay $5 for the net and I WOULD pay $75 for a good bet. Stay far far away.

The net throws and opens well and is attractively priced, but is very fragile. I ordered two, and both tore on the first couple of throws. They caught on very simple bottom structure (large, smooth rocks), and the slightest pressure when attempting to remove them caused immediate and large tears. I've used other brands in the same area and they've been far more durable, able to take normal wear and tear from simple bottom structure with minimal damage. These nets might be fine if you're only casting on unobstructed sandy bottoms, just be very careful.

My son is very excited for this net. He has been asking for one and I bought it for him for Christmas. However, the packaging does not scream gift. It came in a plane brown box, and looks like it has been just shoved inside.I probably will not give it to him as a gift but save it for one day when we head out fishing or to the beach.

See the weights hanging low in the picture? That should not look like that. Net needs more tuck lines to close properly so you will not lose your bait. All weights should close together.Good seller said they would get this fixed.
