The item was great but the tag for scanning was on handle and very hard to get off and left sticky residue.

I read with interest the various reviews, before making this purchase. Some of the reviews were negative, but I have other Fiskars products and they are wonderful. This is no exception. It is solid, not heavy, yet not lightweight. It is balanced nicely in your hand, actually longer than it looks in the pics, and worth every penny. I cannot understand some of the negative reviews, especially one that claims it split when used! Nonsense! This solid tool did not break, It is sturdier than the heaviest screwdriver I have ever used (some folks use screwdrivers to dig out weeds), and there is no way this could break even under the most extraordinary dirt conditions. These problems are not due to any defect on this product. I'm glad I trusted the Fiskars name rather than take those negative reviews. Also, I checked th local W***art in my town and found it to be priced over 50% higher! This tool is a strong buy (to use my broker's favorite phrase)!!

This is a good tool for weeding, no complaints, and for the price, I would say go for it if you need a weed tool.+ Good value, at ~$12+ Easy on the hands, grip feels natural+ Pulls out weeds (dandelions in my case) easily+As others have mentioned, the orange handle makes it easy to find when you leave it in the grass / gardenExperienced gardeners can ignore the rest of this review…I should note that I am not a gardener - just someone that got tired of the dandelions in my lawn and felt like I should try something besides chemicals. I didn’t really even know weed tools existed until I looked for a natural way to get rid of dandelions on the Internet - and even then didn’t quite grasp the difference between this and a small shovel, but thought I would give it a try.. Now having used the weed tool, it is definitely purpose built for weeding and much better than using your hands or a shovel. So, if you haven’t used a tool like this (experienced gardeners can ignore the rest), a few notes:The tools narrow tip and forked end (vs. a small shovel) makes it much easier to get in the ground. You aren’t digging up the weed, you are loosening the soil around the root and then prying the weed root up out of the groundHaving the ground damp (not dry, and not soaking and muddy) makes it much easier to insert and pull the weeds out.It sometimes help to go all around the weed (work around in a circle to loosen the root – you want to get the whole root out or the weed may grow back.

I purchased this to try myself before getting one for my mom who has arthritis and finds it hard to grip the usual weeders or shovels for gardening. I consider myself a "master weeder" who does frequently plop down in the yard to tackle the burdock, dandelions and others that invade. This product is much nicer than the 2.99 weeders I've used before. The grip stays put and it is very sturdy. I don't think it's the right product for my mom however as I think the handle could be thicker for someone with arthritis to prevent the tight gripping this one requires.

Works exactly as expected. Compared to my old one I actually enjoy taking a break from the home office (era of cv19 at this writing) and stroll thru the yard on a sunny day and excise those stubborn weeds. This tool makes it quick and easy like a hot knife through butter.

I dug up and pulled way too many weeds last month. I sat on an upturned pail and made my way along the flower bed using this weeder. It felt sturdy and well-made to me. I was concerned that the blade was a bit short, but it wasn’t for my purposes and I dug out some gnarly weeds with carrot-length roots. The blade is painted black. I did notice that the black paint near the v-notch wore off. That doesn’t affect the usefulness of the tool.The girth of the handle was about right for my lady hand. I really appreciated the orange tip at the top of the tool because a few times I left it laying in the mud and found it by looking for the orange.Btw, the handle is about 5.5” in length; the blade is about 6.5”.

I had one of these forks and had misplaced it. I ordered this as a replacement. Of course the day i got it, I found my old one. I really like this one better though. It’s easier on my hand and works great. I live in a senior community with small, mostly gravel yards. The tenacious weeds still poke through. I found the fork the best tool for dealing with the without tearing up the yard.I do wish i had ordered a slightly longer version, but this will do.Good quality, good value.
