Provides excellent grasp, and sits well in hand. I use it all the time on my Std.Schnauzer. It is must to have tool for dog breeds that require trimming.

I like what this product does, and have 2 other ones that are thinner. But this width makes it may to heavy for me to want to use.

I learned that a shorty JRT with a rough coat benefits from stripping the coat. Its undercoat is thick and wooly, and it needs to breathe. Otherwise, there is the possibility of skin issues. Doing this will help keep the colors of his coat vibrant and healthy. I found everything his groomer, and I will need. I was so relieved to find out that stripping the coat does not hurt the dog.

As a breeder/exhibitor, I have tried many types of stripping aids. I can do a better job with my fingers than I can with these. Heavy and ineffective.

The smaller stones are easy to use for my old hands. The bigger one makes my thumb and finger a bit sore. I never received a file though.

I chose this because of the price and what looked like a great product. It is advertised as a stripping stone tool and for nail filing. It looked OK at first but one gentle pass over one nail and a huge section of the coating peeled away... I can still use it for a stripping tool but definitely not as a nail filer as advertised. Hopefully this is just a defect in the one I received. Will update if seller responds with a resolution.

Meglio la barra di pietra pomice vera; questo è un puntale inutile e pesante che non strippa proprio niente. Artivato già con difetto: sbeccatura. Non lo uso perché temo che lasci schegge metalliche sul cane. Costoso solo per estetica.

Bought this to use on a Welsh Terrier, the packaging was beautiful and I was initially quite fond of the size. After one session of stripping the coating is already coming off and I can see the steel on the top of the tool( underneath the grit). This tool may be better suited for pet parents who attempt to maintain coat at home- but definitely not meant for a grooming salon. Also, my hand hurts so much! I’ll definitely have to wrap this in vet wrap and with cushioning if I choose to use it again. The tool was helpful on small details such as the face and ears, but still I’m a little disappointed and will most likely invest in a higher quality product.
