I have used this exact flash utilizing the same battery for years and found its output consistent with a battery that recycles really fast and lasts through the longest job. I have a spare battery but have never needed it even for a job of several hours. I got this one because the rotating head on the old one has become less rigid with my modifying attachment and I was having to push it back on occasionally. I’ll keep using the older one as a backup but it still works perfectly and the old battery still performs like new.

This flash has a lot of power and really enhances my event photography. No more going through tons of aa batteries. The battery lasts long and refreshes pretty quickly.

Having owned Canon flashed for 20 years I only ever bought name brand equipment but after my Canon 580ex II took a swim in the ocean I needed a new flash and fast. I didnt have the $600 for a new Canon flash but had heard amazing things about this brand and the cost to performance ratio was just what I needed.Battery life is superb and I no longer have to have dozens of AA batteries lying around the place and this flash lasts ages and easily performs over the duration of an 8 hour wedding. I pair ir with the godox/flashpoint AD200 and together they are a killer setup for the money.

I bought this Speed-lite because I needed something powerful with quick recycle time. I have to say this Speed- lite met all my expectations, and for the price it is amazing cant beat it. This Speed-lite is better then my canon Speed-lite's which are way more expensive than this speed-lite. I really love how it has a rechargeable battery that lasted me through the whole event, I even bought a extra rechargeable battery that I didn't even have to use.Great Speed-Lite you will not be disappointed.

I have owned two Neewer TT680, 1 TT560, and I sometimes have to put two flash in background when I do splash, now I can just use this one instead of two. I was worried if it would not work well with my 7D mark II and Youngnuo YN622 transmitter because I did not find any reviews using it with 7D mark ii but this combination works, whew~. The rechargeable AA batteries I have are working pretty nice but this one piece rechargeable li-on battery is superb too, and it is easy, no more need to mess up with 4 batteries. I have done it with quite a few indoor photograph, I will find out how it perform outdoor, definitely not going to be like AD200 (on my wish list) but I am sure it will be better than my old flash.

This is by far the best flash I have use. I am a Canon user, my first hot shoe flash was Canon and I still have a 430ex II.Never been totally happy with the TTL performance of the 430 and did not want to spent the money for the top of the line Canon flashes. That said I had Neewer flashes and I also have a Yongnuo YN600EX-RT (great flash after I use rechargeable batteries) but none come close to this Flashpoint Zoom Li-on R2 TTL Speedlight. I mainly shoot in manual mode and use the flash off camera and this flash so far has deliver. It is powerful, easy to use and the Li-on rechargeable last for ever. I love that is a simple menu to use and the R2 Pro transmitter makes it easy to change setting from camera.TTL and HSS work great too. Best of all still way cheaper that the Canon 600EX II-RT.

Build quality is good. Seams sturdy and outputs a lot of light. No issues yet with the Flashpoint R2-E-TTL Transmitter that I found except that the transmitter and flash need to be at a couple of inches apart. Some of the menu options were foreign to me coming from Canon flashes, but it did not take long to figure it out without reading the instructions. I love the Lithium batteries. Last a long time and keeps the recycling times down. Great product. I will probably buy a second one for multi light projects.
