I use this gauge to increase the accuracy of Lathe and Milling crafting. The one problem is accuracy falls off the further the gauge probe is from the base. .01mm to .03mm; which is acceptable for my applications.

Magnet base is solid and does a great job.Indicator is the 4 Star. Works and gets my vises and work pieces squared off. Not as good as the other top brands. For the type of milling Iām doing it works great.Came fast and all works great

This is just a cheap AliExpress special marked up almost twice what I would have paid on AE. I may have waited an extra 10-15 days more but the price difference would have been worth it.On opening, I found that the stand looked pretty decent but if the tightening dial is at all loose, every single joint goes floppy at once, making it difficult to align easily. When the dial is tight, the base arms hold fairly rigidly. Sticker at the magnet switch indicating on/off fell off immediately...not really a big deal but speaks directly to quality. Magnet is more than strong enough to hold the dial.The dial indicator came in its own case but had no documentation aside from an unfilled "certificate of inspection". No instructions on assembly or use at all. There was also a slot in the component foam insert that was empty, indicating there may be a missing part. I did figure out how the dial attached to the base but it wasn't at all immediately evident from the parts included. The dial is a fake Mitutoyo (actually says MiLuLoyo) and is very small. Wasn't advertised as an actual Mitutoyo but obviously a fake. If your vision isn't 20/20, you're going to have a bit of difficulty reading it. The dial is quite small...I actually use a magnifying glass to accurately identify the ticks.Not impressed with this purchase at all. I believe it will work in a pinch, but it is worth nowhere near the amount paid.
