Nicest multi-tester I have used. Automatic function is fabulous. Typical Fluke quality that is well-designed for use and holds up well when handledroughly.

Good product only setback is that it requires a signature and code on delivery. Missed delivery twice 🙄

Go ahead, pay a little more money for the most used brand of meters in the Country.Love the simplicity of it, no more searching for what to put the dial on, it just knows DC or AC

Such a fantastic little multimeter that fits perfectly into my work trousers to be available at any time. The LoZ (low impedance) setting gives complete confidence that voltage readings are not picking up induced (ghost) voltages. Combine with the magnetic strap makes it the ideal meter for domestic electrical work. Fluke quality at its finest!

The 114 has the features I desired and omitted amperage measuring capability that is better handled by clamp meter technology. The included TL75 leads use a stiff plastic wire insulation and had separate tip shields that are easy to lose. They do not snap on to the back of the 114 case either. For less than $30 I ordered Fluke TL175 leads which use pliable silicone sheathed wires so they do not tangle up like the TL75 leads. The TL175 leads use an internal adjustable cover for the steel tip and are threaded for optional AC175 alligator clips.

There are other, lesser multimeters out there but I was tempted into buying this one by Fluke's reputation. I have not been disappointed; the build quality is superb and the design is well thought out. Highly recommended.

I had this Fluke 114 multimeter for over 1 œ years now and it has become my most used multimeter (even though it is also my least expensive multimeter). This multimeter has all the functions needed to troubleshoot electric wiring problems on buildings, ships, and airplanes and has the important AUTO-V LoZ function that many higher-priced Fluke multifunction multimeters lack. The AUTO-V LoZ function eliminates false readings that can severely hinder troubleshooting efforts. The normal multimeter volt functions have a high impedance input that makes it too sensitive for troubleshooting wiring faults. An open-ended wire under test that is near other powered wires will pick up the electromagnetic force fields from the other wires and show a false "ghost" voltage on the wire under test. The low impedance input of the AUTO-V LoZ function will eliminate the measuring of these false voltages. The Fluke 114 has the AUTO-V LoZ function and also has the normal high impedance volt functions as well.I have also found that using more expensive Fluke multimeters that have lots of functions can sometimes lead to problems when testing wiring. Sometimes a technician will accidentally hit the orange Function button, causing the multimeter to switch from measuring resistance to measuring capacitance instead. This caused us having to recheck some wire bundles all over again. My Fluke 114 is constantly being borrowed by other technicians and engineers that have the higher-priced multifunction Fluke multimeters without the AUTO-V LoZ function, as some tests and wire troubleshooting require a multimeter with a low impedance input.I have used several brands of meters and have found that Fluke multimeters are the best. The fast response time of Fluke meters (necessary for my line of work) is much faster than the other brands of multimeters I've used. Also, Fluke meters are very rugged and reliable and have good over-voltage protection. I ended up giving all my non-Fluke multimeters away and using only Fluke multimeters instead. While the Fluke 114 is great for troubleshooting wiring, it is not so great for troubleshooting and testing electronic circuits as it is lacking some functions needed for that purpose. If you want a Fluke multimeter that has the AUTO-V LoZ function for troubleshooting wiring but also having more functions than the Fluke 114 for troubleshooting electronic circuits, I would suggest checking out the .
