I haven’t had a chance to test this line in “real” water yet (still pre-season here in Rhode Island), but so far, I’m impressed. It comes off the reel perfectly straight, feels like high-quality gear, and is virtually invisible—even in my bathtub. I’m not an expert angler, but this line is clearly better than the generic stuff I’ve picked up locally. For around $12, it feels like a great value and a solid step up.Pros:(+) Comes off the spool straight and smooth. (I’m sure there’s a fancy name for that…)(+) Practically invisible in water (i.e., my bathtub)(+ Feels strong, clean, and well-made(+) Excellent value for the priceCons:(-) None so far, but the full verdict will come once it sees real use in an actual river or lake.So far, I’m very happy with it—and looking forward to putting it to work.

This fishing line was easy to put on my reel. It did not kink up or stretch. I tested it by casting into the river and it did cast well. Not visible once under the water. I didn't catch anything so I can't comment on whether it or not will withstand the tug of a large fish, but I will in the summer for sure.So far this line has met my expectations. It is a tad expensive but hopefully it will be worth the price when I reel in the big one. 😁

The Pristis Fluorocarbon Coated Ice Fishing Line is a great option for both saltwater and freshwater anglers looking for a reliable and high-quality line. The line is coated with fluorocarbon, which helps with stealth and abrasion resistance. This makes it harder for fish to see while also enhancing its durability against rough conditions, such as ice or rocky areas. The line is designed to withstand tough conditions, which is especially useful when fishing in environments where rocks, debris, or ice can damage the line. One of the standout features of this line is its ability to resist freezing in cold weather. This is critical for ice fishing, as it ensures the line remains manageable even in sub-zero temperatures. This means the line is less likely to retain kinks or coils from being stored, which reduces the chances of tangles and improves casting smoothness. With a test strength of 8 lbs, it offers good strength for various fishing situations. It's a versatile choice for many ice fishing setups, able to handle a variety of fish species. The 220-yard spool is a generous amount for most ice fishing applications, giving you plenty of line to work with. The clear color is ideal for stealth and is particularly beneficial for clear water fishing, making it harder for fish to detect the line. The Pristis Fluorocarbon Coated Ice Fishing Line is an excellent choice for those who prioritize durability, resistance to freezing, and abrasion protection during ice fishing. It offers good value with a high-quality, low-memory design and the versatility for both freshwater and saltwater conditions. For anglers seeking a reliable line that performs well in cold weather and tough conditions, this is a solid option.

I purchased this to use a 6# leader on my trout reel. It is clear and should not be visible in about any fishing situation. The drawback is the fisherman can't see it either while he's retreiving. I plan to use about 4 to 6 foot of this for leader material on my spinning reel spooled with light braided line. This will work well for the streams I fish in Utah and Colorado.

This line performs really well under cold conditions. It doesn’t freeze up or kink easily, and it’s strong enough to handle aggressive bites. Low visibility in the water is a big plus for picky fish. Great for both ice fishing and general freshwater use.

Great line. Ended up spooling on one of my spinning rods not for ice fishing to use for trout. Super clear, easy to spool on a reel, and holds great knots.

I use fluorocarbon line leaders on every single one of my open water fishing rigs. Some ice fishing too. This line is advertised as being for ice fishing, but I honestly can't tell a difference between it and any of the other fluoro line I've used. I got 6 pound test to use for small to medium walleyes and panfish mixed. I typically just use a double uni knot to connect braid to fluoro OR a small barrel swivel depending on my setup. 220 yards of fluoro for 10 bucks is a pretty solid value and will last me a couple years so I have no complaints. The packaging on this looks a little amateur, but the line seems to work plenty fine so I have no complaints.

This has been a nice line for crafting. I needed something to hang stuff up and this works great. The only thing is it's so hard to see some times. But it seems pretty durable too. I had a few things hanging outside using this line and a bad storm blew by. Most of my things were still hanging and the few that broke away weren't because of the line itself.

This is excellent fishing line. I took it out ice fishing and had no issues with it. It's strong, doesn't freeze up and doesn't get brittle. You get a good amount here. It's the same good quality as the typical expensive fishing brands.
