I ordered the hose with a valve, and only received the hose. The hose is adequate and has plastic fittings.

I boat in fresh water, so I don't know how well this would work for running Salt Away or similar product, but I'm in a northern climate, so this is a great solution to help run antifreeze through the motors for winterizing. I needed a new fitting, since mine got chewed up over the winter by some mice, and I saw this one, and am beyond pleased to see this entire assembly! This will eliminate 3 different items that I've been using to winterize my boat, and less hassle to hook everything up.The ball valve is a great addition if you're running through antifreeze, and having to make one less trip to the store to grab an extra fitting is always a plus in my book. The extra $3 for the ball valve is in line with what that should cost, so all in all, if you're needing to grab one of these flush hoses, splurge and pick up the ball valve version. It makes things so much easier, you'll wonder why you didn't think of it yourself!

I took a star away because the original picture had a shut off valve built in and this one didn't, otherwise it worked fine on my yamaha ski and didn't leak.

Have always had an issue with the adaptor leaking a little in the engine compartment where it connects to the hose. This eliminates that issue since the adaptor is long enough to be outside the engine compartment. Works great and love the shutoff valve at the engine. Solid option for a great price!

We own a 2004 Yamaha FX-HO. I can confirm that this part fits our jet ski perfectly. It is such an upgrade over the part that came with the jet ski. First of all, the ball valve keeps me from running across the yard to turn the water on and off. But there's also another huge benefit. The hose extension makes it so much easier to attach the water hose. Previously, I had to bend the hose down into the jet ski to attach it. Now the connection point is outside of the jet ski. This was a great purchase that makes maintenance on the jet ski easier and less frustrating. I highly recommend it!
