I have a gelding that is eaten alive during fly season. I have to keep fly boots on his legs to prevent them from chewing holes in his lower leg areas. We've used MANY versions and brands of boots. We have several sets to keep him comfortable and them clean. These fly boots work just as well as name branded fly boots and seem to be holding up well. They are easy to apply and stay in place. Overall, I'm satisfied with them.

I put these on a 16H thoroughbred and they were tall enough (too tall for my 15H quarterhorse) but they were large. I would have liked for them to be more narrow.

Great fly boots. They stay on all day and night.

These boots fit well and have a soft felt binding that does not rub or irritate. The Velcro closure is a heavy-duty continuous strip from top to bottom. This makes for a quick application that is much more convenient to put on compared to the boots with tabs. However, this system is easier for a determined horse to remove. The mesh is durable. These boots are a good value for a set of four.

I really like these fly boots because of the full closure running along the length, as shown in the first picture. This helps holds the boots on the horse’s leg more securely than smaller tabs. Here’s what I don’t like about them... The trim around the boot is a fuzzy material, as shown in the close up picture. Unless you have your horse in a dry lot, or stalled, these are probably going to pick up every kind of burr in the field. We’ll see what they look like in the next few days. All in all, they function well for keeping flies off and the longer velcro stripe seems like these will be quite durable. I'll update my review if there's an issue.

I have recently started using these on my horse and the difference has been noticeable so far. The mesh is super breathable, and they stay in place really well. Easy to put on and take off.

The plastic part that helps to keep its shape always has come out through the top of one of the fly boots. My horse hasn’t even had these on for a week, Very disappointed

These fly boots are made of durable mesh and edged in a thin fuzzy material. They have one long velcro strip as a closure and what feels like a plastic insert on the side to hold them up and keep them from folding when on the horse. I have used similar fly boots in the past and loved them. I find this style works well and hold up about one season. I use them on both my POAs and quarter horses in the pasture and stalls. I have not yet used these particular boots, but my one concern is that unlike some of my other fly boots, the velcro on these is not sewn along the edge of the mesh, leaving a small overhang of mesh. While this may make it easier for me to remove the boots, I expect my horses will use it to grab and remove the boots in their pastures and stalls, as well.
