The leather contently breaks along the seam of the stick, making the swatter flop when holding and swinging which throws off the flow, helping for the fly to get away.

Perfect length and firm wooden handle that's sure to last a lifetime. My Grandparents had similar swatters on the farm and never missed the intended target...bugs, flies or behinds...LOL.

Definitely not leather, it does appear to be well made, but it is vinyl (Naugahyde) which Im thinking may actually be easier to keep 'clean' of bug guts.I think its still worth the cost - but if you are really wanting leather this IS NOT.

We’ll see if they last… they do look well made-very nice, long hard-wood handle, but NOT leather.
