Are you into airsoft or paintball or tactical play? Have you ever wanted a real battery pack for your helmet, instead of the dummy ones? Wouldn't it be cool to actually run electronics on your gear as opposed to just the realistic look? Well, FMATAL GEAR's FMA PVS 31 NVG Battery Pack Case will definitely work for you!FMATAL GEAR's FMA PVS 31 is a lightweight case, and together with the velcro and pin cable weighs a meager 5.2oz. It requires 2 to 4 AA batteries to run between 2-3.5V. The neat thing is that the battery case will run 2 batteries, across the 4 battery tubes in series between Groups A (left 2 tubes) and B (right 2 tubes)--you must have one battery in each Group. Included is an anti-slip pin cable at 29 cm (supporting GSGM). There is a physical switch to turn on/off power at the bottom of the case, as well as 2 IR "lights" at the top of the case for FFID. That is very, very cool!The whole kit is high-quality with a snap-able closing plastic/foam case; the battery case with quality switch, secure turn-screw closure, and waterproof gasket seal; and the heavy-duty pin cable. If you can afford the price-tag, I HIGHLY recommend!

Anyone that was in the military will tell you Mil-spec is not necessarily a good thing. What it does mean is that the item has been tested and proven reliable at the lowest possible price. The first impression of this battery case is that it feels cheap and lightweight, but after loading it up with batteries and installing on my bump helmet, I was pleasantly impressed. The plastic is a very durable PVC that will not break with use. The Velcro this comes with is the most tenacious sticky stuff I have ever encountered. It will not come off once installed. The case is waterproof and has an o-ring and a very good screw down tensioner. The IR strobe switch is a bit difficult to feel when mounted but it wont accidentally get bumped and turn on your lights. Overall, I’m very happy with the battery pack and the quality hardware it comes with. Yes, it also works well for my nods and keeps me powered all night with zero issues.

Seems to be pretty solid, the gaskets seal well and the unit itself is fairly compact.The ir strobe is really quite bright and can be seen from a very long distance!Instructions are pretty useless but then again it’s a pretty straightforward unit so anybody should be able to figure it out. As far as the price goes it seems pretty par for the course, can’t say it’s a bargain, but it’s also not stupid expensive.

I ordered this FMATAL GEAR FMA NVG Battery Pack Case to replace a damaged unit. It arrived in great condition and was ready to be installed. The unit is well-made, sturdy, and appears to have good connections. It effectively holds batteries and functions as an IR Strobe Identification Light with IFF functionality. The battery compartment is sealed well with a gasket and latches to provide a watertight compartment. ESSENTIAL!!!😃 The unit fits easily on my fast helmet and has all the necessary accessories to mount the device. CONVENIENT!!!!😄 The IR strobe is very visible when using IR equipment. It paints a bright recognition, and the IR strobe is slightly visible without IR. The activation switch is sturdy and has a good degree of friction. You won't accidentally switch the unit on or off without making a deliberate, conscientious physical decision. The cable is also well-crafted and attaches to my nods LEMO port with a firm connection.⚡NOTE⚡: If you aren't familiar with this equipment, the instructions will not help you understand functionality.😮 Look up the equipment on an informative video to get a handle on the details. I like this unit a lot, and it has much to offer. My only contention regarding the unit is its price point. Other offerings are superior at this unit's price, or units that are as good at a lower price point.😉 It all depends on your preference for cost versus performance. The price point could be a deal breaker for some, but it won't take this unit out of contention for me. 🚩I rate this FMA PVS 31 NVG Battery Pack Case with Function for Tactical Helmet NVG a respectable 8 out of 10 (or four stars regarding the Amazon rating scale) solely due to price. I like this component because it works well, is sturdy and can take abuse, should meet the expectations of most users, and would be more than sufficient for warriors involved in paintball or airsoft conditions!! 😊
