OK for most cutting but I would not use it for fine cutting where you want to leave clean cut. The blade is too thin and flexes and the teeth are too large, so it cuts quickly but you end up with more of a rough cut. Not great for fine cuts like you might want to do on a Japanese Maple or other more delicate cuts. I use an older saw with a much stiffer blade with smaller, fine teeth. Takes longer to cut but you get a much cleaner cut and more accurate cut.

This was exactly what I needed for trimming some long pieces of dead wood in the back yard. Although the saw is thin and has a flimsy feel to it, the locking mechanism and the teeth are super sharp and perform exactly as expected. Will purchase more in the future if I need to get another hand-locking saw.

I do a lot of wood working in theatrical/live event type situations where I only really get to bring a small tool box to site. Every now and then I need to cut up a 2x4, cut some plywood, trim furring strips etc. Nothing super precise but reasonable accuracy and clean cuts are still expected and required to get the job done. This folding saw has come in handy so many times in the past year. my company often sends cheap folding saws from discount hardware stores on jobs and they work okay....but i wanted something better. after checking out youtube videos and other reviews, this seemed to be the best option for me. despite the low price, it punches above it's weight. this saw breezes through framing studs and treated wood LIKE A DREAM. i've put it up against my coworkers before with the company saws and always came out on top with fewer strokes, less effort, and shorter times to make the same cuts.if you just need a saw to put in your kit or to travel with, THIS is your saw! Cannot recommend this enough!

I have a ten inch folding saw that I take on my outback camping' this one will stay at home. These folding saw are a great must have for any cutting activity. But one must make sure it has a precise rubber handle grip and triple cutting blade making cuts a lot easier.

Exellent construction, sharp blade. Handy, stash-able size (under car seat) keeps it readily available for 'unforeseen' country emergencies...fallen limbs in roadway. Rips thru 4"--5" diam. branches like a champ! As far as the gloves...cute for girls/people w/ tiny hands.
