This Food Warming Mat has been a game-changer for my gatherings and holiday meals! The rollable, portable design makes it super easy to store and transport, and it lays flat without fuss. I am liking this new style of food warmer, more than I expected. I will use it more than expected.1. It doesn't take up a lot of storage room.2. Very portable.3. 3 heat settings: I like the flexibility 3 settings provide.4. Safe: the silicone does provide a safety feature in that it would be hard to burn yourself as there is no metal or glass components. (Burned myself growing up with the old metal and glass ones.)5. Lots of surface space.6. Easy cleanup: just wipe it!7. Can heat up takeout, including plastic or paper - bonus! For compostable containers, I suggest on lowest setting only and not too long.(Note: I don't use a microwave and prefer (re)heating on stovetop.)8. Can be placed on different surface types. For wood, I recommend placing something underneath to protect the wood, esp for extended periods or higher heat setting. The underside design does give some protection.9. Quality silicone: doesn't get tacky between uses. I have bought silicone products that got a tackiness to them when not in use. Didn't care for it and sometimes washing didn't work well. This mat doesn't gotten like that in the month I've had it, and don't expect it to based on the texture.10. Control settings: settings auto-lock so don't have to worry about accidentally changing or turning off. Timer means will auto shut off.11. Plug outlet in mat has a cover for when not in use, which will keep it clear of dust, dirt or debris.I definitely recommend this product if want a food warming appliance. I can see myself bringing this for weekend getaways. Would make a great gift for someone needing food warmer.

Works well for keeping food hot. I love it when serving appetizers and dishes from the oven for large gatherings.

This is a very convenient item to have for keeping food warm. The mat is generously sized, rolls up for storage and comes with a carrying pouch, as well as an instruction book. The cord detaches from the mat, making it much easier to clean and allowing rinsing as needed. There are 3 temperature settings and 3 time settings (1,2 or 4 hours). It definitely keeps things warm. A tray of pancakes stayed warm for several hours (on the 4 hour setting). They also got a little crisp on the bottom - they were on a metal tray, which must have conducted enough heat to slightly cook them more. Next time, I'd probably use a regular plate. The mat is a nice shade of light blue, too. We have not had a chance to test it for thawing food, but really will benefit from that function.

Yes, this does keep the food warm, but not as warm as I expected it to. I had the food tented and the mat up on its highest settings and the food was kept lukewarm at best. I had hoped that this one could replace my glass one, because storage for it takes up so much space that I loved the idea of being able to just roll this one to store it. It’s not difficult to use, and it’s definitely a value for the price. I just was hoping for a bit more warming capability from it.

Quite frankly, I figured that there is a good chance that this thing would end-up as just one more gift/gimmick taking up storage space in the kitchen. Y'know, along with Mom's Yogurt Maker and the like.Somewhere in the midst of inspecting, photographing and testing this product The Lightbulb went off in my head. "Christmas Breakfast Casserole"! :) Part of our periodically adapting Tradition involves my sister bringing an eggs/bacon/cheese/rolls(in the bottom)/etc casserole. Early conversations regarding how to keep it warm have occurred more than once, most recently this past Christmas. Oven on LOW tend to overcook the thing. We have accepted that what we need to do is all hit the buffet line as soon as it is ready and just live with the stone cold Seconds, y'know? I checked the dimensions and have confirmed that (all with covers) casserole Pyrex, Grits bowl and medium "meat" Pyrex will fit on this Mat.When my sister came by, I took the Warmer Mat out, set it up and started explaining its functions. She was looking at the Mat as I spoke. I was watching her eyes ... and there it happened! Her eyes got big, she looked up at me and said (wait for it) "Christmas Breakfast Casserole"!So now she is looking forward to using this for all of the family get-togethers ... and assorted televised Playoff Games throughout the year. Oh, did I mention that a large pizza tray fits perfectly on this? Yay! :)All I need to do is find some covers for a few things.The mat comes rolled-up in an open-weave polyester(?) fabric storage sack. At first I thought that I should improve upon that ... until I had time to work with the product several times. I realized that when treating the Mat with proper respect, I probably will not be able to easily improve upon that storage sack.Rolled up in the storage sack, the Mat is a tube ~5"x16" which should be an easy fit for most folks.The product appears to well-designed and -crafted. After reading directions, the controls are simple & rather intuitive. Checking temperatures at various locations with my IR thermometer, the heat levels appear to be reasonably/useably close to the listed settings.In my opinion, this is a Winner.
