Ito Rocky Hand ascender is widely used for tree climbing, Single Rope Technique Climbing (SRT climbing) and tensioning, rigging, hauling, pulley system.
Function
Solid Safety Catch
The safety catch has spring inside and allows operators to easily use it with a thumb. It ensure to quickly install and remove rope effortless.
Hollow-3D Stainless Steel Cam
Automatic mud discharge groove, has sufficient grip on ropes which even are frozen or have mud ice.
Upper Limit Hole
Hand ascenders attach to the rope via a toothed cam that is spring-loaded to bite into the sheath. A upper hole at the upper end of the device allows other gears to be clipped around the rope, making it impossible to accidentally come off while the cam is open.
Bottom Hole
The most common configuration for hand ascenders has 2 bottom holes: for two quick links which are used to attach a Foot Sling Loop. This style is great if you are mostly jugging long pitches such as on a big wall and have no intention of removing your ladders.

Use a carabiner to couple these to the hand ascenders as shown in the product pictures and they work as advertised. Made working on my roof a breeze!

Heavy large and cumbersome. But otherwise safe. This thing's big enough to hold a car. That's nice that it's sturdy but it's unnecessary and it's just weight and a challenge to carry with your other gear.
