I got this excellent foot pedal switch extension cord for a piece of exercise equipment that is not supposed to be plugged in or powered on all the time. Since the plug for this equipment is in a really inconvenient place to access, I decided to plug it into this pedal switch instead. Now, when I want to use it, I just hit the foot pedal to “plug it in” and I can start it up and get going. When I’m done, I hit the foot pedal switch again and it is just as if I had unplugged it. Great solution! Now one thing to be aware of with this extension cord – it does not have the third grounded plug opening on it. So you can’t use it with grounded plugs. But it works great for things like lamps and fans and radios and even Christmas lights! It’s a decent quality extension cord and the foot pedal switch has worked perfect for me every time.

My wife has a lighted tree in a room where there is no switched power outlet, so she has to constantly bend over to plug in the tree when she wants the tree lit up. I saw this switch and thought it would make it much easier for her.It is a very simple but effective design. It has a male plug for and outlet and a female end for whatever you need to plug into it. The switch section is a nice size round base that has a foot tap switch in it. Very easy to toe tap something on or off that is plugged into this switch.Very easy to operate and effective for what I wanted it for. Great price point and would definitely recommend.

I got this foot switch to control a floor lamp that otherwise has a finicky touch control. This way I just set the floor lamp to the mode I need, and turn it on/off using the foot switch. No more accidentally setting the floor lamp in one of its crazy flashing modes. Very useful and well made switch, recommended.

Super usefulSometimes the cord that comes on lamps are too short. I am always looking for useful products that could help solve this. Aside from smart plugs that I can control with my phone, this extension cord with on/off button is a great solution.It is good quality and works as hoped.Definitely recommend

This works exactly as described for a reasonable price. I got this to use with a set of string lights my daughter wants to hang in her room, but the lights have no on/off switch and I didn't want to have to plug/unplug them all the time. This switch works perfectly for what I need and it is long enough on either end that I think it would be convenient to allow flexible placement.
