Perfect for my needs. It is long enough to allow me to put on shoes from a seated position on my bed. At the same time, it is just short enough to fit in my nighstand drawer. Super handy. The plus is the amber-esque appearance that is very Jurassic Park-ish. I really like it.

Does what it claims, just wish it was a couple of inches longer. ( I know that is what she said)

The duck head should be more ergonomically mounted on the stick so that you don't have to awkwardly twist your wrist to get the horn lined up right. Also, the dang thing needs to be 6-12" longer. It would be great for the 6-year olds but they don't need the help getting their shoes on like their Old Uncle Bobo does.

Kept breaking cheap plastic and, even, a metal shoe horn. Not cheap, but worth the cost if you have had the same experiences as me. And, it is certainly attractive.

As we are getting older, and it’s becoming more difficult for parents, grandparents, and guests to bend over to deal with their shoes, this beautifully crafted shoe horn is long enough for everyone to put on their shoes either from a standing or sitting position. I also appreciate that using it models for my kids that jamming your foot into a shoe because they are too lazy to untie it thereby destroying their shoes is not the way to go. Using this shoe horn makes it “fun” as opposed to a fight about ruining shoes. I also love that is has a very classy look that reminds me very much of my grandfather who always used a long shoe horn just like this, a man who always wore a suit and a hat. Good old fashioned charm and class.

Pretty nice, but a word of caution. As you shove your heel into the shoe with the help of the shoehorn, let the handle do what it wants to somewhat. Do not hold the handle to firm because it puts to much unnecessary stress on the handle, especially where the handle connects with the shoehorn with that gold band. I do not sense a lot of strength where the handle and the shoehorn actually connect with that gold band. I did deduct one star given what I perceive as a weakness at that point. And upon some complaining about breakage.

I bought on Feb 06, 2014. Yes, the shoe horn is expensive. Pros - good quality, right length for me. I am 5' 10". I do not have to bend down to slip on my shoe. The amber colored horn, speckled with flicks of black, same as the knob at the opposite end, is visually pleasing. The stem is an appealing black with gold colored bands at each end. Okay, you've already seen the photo. What the pic does not say is that the horn, knob and cane have a good, balanced feel. Cons - I don't have any. Yes, there are shoe horns aplenty, all substitutes for this one, as for its function of helping the wearer slip on a pair of loafers. The yeah-but, is this one looks good. It is a handsome piece. Honestly, i never ever thought i would talk this way about a shoe horn! It is going to last years. For me, totally worth the premium.
