The edges are almost sharp and of course the steel is cold in cold temperatures. I'm going to wrap the handle on mine.

It works perfectly as intended and also doubles as a defensive device I keep in the car in case of danger. Nice and heavy. The hook on one end helped me greatly when I had a broken arm it allowed me to pull the door shut tight so I could lock it with one hand.
