Our house faces west, and we recently installed a storm door. The handles on both the storm door and the regular door got VERY HOT. In reading other reviews, it appears that these also work well in the winter when you're wearing mittens (they help grip). So I put them on the storm door (easy peasy) but had to fight to get it on the door handle, which is bigger because there is a lock function in the handle. After a while, it stretched over. We don't use that lock, we use the deadbolt, so there isn't a problem with the keyhole. However - it would be a good thing if they sold a set where one of the door mittens had a hole for the keyhole. But all in all -- no more burned hands from the sun!

our back door faces the southwest and gets absolutely baked from just before midday until the sun sets. we noticed that our storm door handle was literally too hot to touch in the afternoon so we went looking for a solution and found this little wonder. it fit the handle without any adjustment, just a beautiful fit. and it absolutely does the job of making the handle touchable even in the heat of day.

The way out house sits the sun blares on the front door in the afternoon. So much that we were getting burned when touching the door handle. Couldn't take it anymore and had to do something about it. Took a shot in the dark and searched for something. And here I found these handle covers. I would never have guessed that they were a real thing! They are incredible! Well made with a foamy material. They fixed our problem and have become a topic of discussion when guests come over. I highly recommend these!

This door handle does it’s job above and beyond!!!!! I didn’t have much hope for ANY door covering considering we live in Palm Springs and it is HOT, HOT, HOT. Our summers have temps in the 120’s. It’s often unbearable. This handle cover is black, which attracts heat, and I didn’t think it would work, but it’s AMAZING. We’ve had it in the direct hot sun for over a month. Such direct sun that any plants planted along this wall die. This door handle is always cool to the touch any time of day and has held up very well. It has not discolored or broken down in any way. As great as it is, the company is even better. I ordered one and did not receive it, even though My Amazon Orders said it was delivered. I contacted the company and they apologized and sent another the very next day. This company does business with customer service and satisfaction the old fashioned way, the way it used to be back when. This is lost today in our world where many companies are only concerned about making money. If you are on the fence re this product, get off and get it. You will be as happy as I am, and happy is a good thing!!!!!
