These ramekins are a nice size for a hearty single-serve dish. I purchased them to make individual pot pies from a recipe I found, & they came out so very good! The ramekins are a good quality, & clean quick & easy. I look forward to cooking different recipes using them, & I definitely recommend chicken (or beef) pot pies.

I first started out with shrimp burgers, covered them with grains and vegetables and served them up. They were kind of hard to eat. You needed a knife to cut them up which wasn't so easy. My wife suggested I use shrimp which were loose in the bag. I thought that would make a watery dish, as it was the shrimp that introduced the extra water when I served than with frozen peas and corn. So, for this this version, I made a bottom layer of root vegetables, spiced it with Thai Ginger sauce, added a layer of shrimp, covered it with a layer of mixed grain with veggies, added a layer of Sweet potato fries, put sweet chili sauce on top, microwaved for 5 minutes, and served it up. Both of us like it. All these products are found in the frozen section, except the sauces, which are elsewhere in Trader Joes.

These casserole dishes are just right for a single serving. I can make a pot of something and then apportion them out into the dishes for later reheating. They are dishwasher, oven and microwave safe. I find them easy to clean and very attractive. Their oval shape with the handles (a must for getting things out of the oven) goes with all my other dishes.

I purchased these to make individual chicken pot pies for guests. They made hearty portions for everyone. They looked attractive on the table. Had one pot pie left over so I put it in the freezer. I recently defrosted it and I’m very pleased with the product.

I use these for homemade pot pies, and single-serving mac-n-cheese, oven-to-table. It's a really generous serving size. The dish is pretty, solid, and helps the meal feel special. Also keeps the food warmer than if served out onto a plate.
