Tried another brand, it arced, got destroyed, and fried my stove control circuit board. Bought a new board, this ignitor, and have been back in business for awhile now.

Feb. 12,2024 when this igniter went bad again! , 8 months it lasted !! garbage sensor. if you need a quick temporary fix, then so be it but if you need durability and quality... Go OEM factory.

Item seemed to be made of quality. Came packaged well and was easy to install. Workws as stated and got my oven back right we cooking now. The product worked well while it worked but it failed rather quickly. Just a few months of purchase.

My oven has 4 of these hot surface igniters. Once i removed the old igniter, I cut the wires with the old connector off at 8". stripped the wires evenly. used the provided ceramic high temp wire nuts. (its a 120V AC circuit, just strip back the insulation with a sharpe utility knife. Screwed on the ceramic high temp wire nut. reinstalled the igniter. Youtube search "How To: Whirlpool/KitchenAid/Maytag Oven Igniter".

Installed this in my 20 year old Kenmore oven. So simple. Has worked for several months now with no issues. Only problem is my wife wanted a new oven and looks like she will have to wait!
