In addition, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. The bayonet mount allows you to reverse mount the hood making it easy to store in your camera bag.
Compatible Canon Lenses:

Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM Lens
Canon EF 80-200mm f/2.8L Lens

Just ok. I cheaped out and probably should’ve just bought the Canon version. This hood fits ok when using the hood normally but when reversed (as I reverse my lens hoods for storage) it doesn’t fit. So every time I store the lens I have to separate it from the hood or just be aware that it will fall off and if you are quickly grabbing the lens on a shoot and the hood falls off, can be annoying - or worse you could drop the lens. I would not buy this again.

Fododiox Dedicated Lens HoodHood fits over the 85mm f1.2 lens. Canon model won't snap off but this Fododiox can snap off on impact or push. The spring is less strong than Canon Hood. It is same size and material is similar and does same thing as blocking the stray lights from lens and low price.

Works great! Wonderful fit. Not sure if the other reviewers had the same model, but its very easy to put on and take off. In order to take it off, you must squeeze the two clips on the side and it comes right off.

Poorly constructed and not durable. Should have bought the real one from Canon

Arrived in perfect condition, and timely (though packed in an unnecessarily large box for its size, but what else is new). Giving 4 stars and not 5 because the tab buttons for removal make the hood hard to hold onto. I had it pop out of my hands. But it's just a matter of getting used to handling it. Definitely not the half-turn of Canon hoods, but that's fine. It will do the trick and that's what I was looking for.

Fantastic product. Easily as good as the OEM Canon hood. Have had it for over 6months now, no issues, works every time, and has even been dropped a handful of times. Great product.

Does NOT fit older CANON FD 85mm 1.2 L. Great product in design, well built. I wish I could use it. I am searching for a modern lens hood for the manual focus Canon FD 85mm F/1.2 L and purchased this one in hopes that it would fit. The lens mount opening of this hood is approximately 5mm larger than the lens barrel of the FD 85mm lens. I returned this item. If I had the newer EF 85mm 1.2L I would be happy to use this lens hood.

I broke the hood for my 85mm1.2 lens and needed a replacement. C'mon...it's a hood...I'm not paying canon pieces for a hood. So I got this one and it looks feels and fits just like the canon one. it Doesn't have the felt cloth on the inside like the canon one does, and at first it was a tiny bit difficult to remove, but I press the buttons twice and it comes off just fine. ...just like you are double clicking a mouse for a computer. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this hood again if I break this one. great replacement!!! Sylvester potter photography.

Just save yourself the headache and buy the Canon replacement. It sticks so badly that when you try to take it off, you can't without breaking it.
