Title says it all. Bought the adapter for my Samyang 500mm Mirror lens (which can be seen in the pictures supplied), with the intention of mating the Lens to my 600si or my A58, both of which are Minolta/Sony A-mount cameras. From two entirely different Eras; if there is any variance it would be bound to show up in two cameras built 18 years apart, by two different (but related) companies. The adapter works perfectly as far as I am concerned. It does not bind, requires little force, but also feels solid in Pitch and Yaw relative to the camera body it's mounted to. All in all, i found myself with a good investment.That being said there are few things that, whilst will not make me retract any stars, some people will want to know. The lock screws in the adapter may need to be tightened if you find the adapter ring spinning and it refuses to come off. I had accidentally over-tightened it, and when taking it off loosened the lock-screws; as a result re-tightening them solved the issue. This was a result of user-error, ergo does not warrant a reduction in stars. Additionally there is a small divot that has been painted red, which is used to align the bayonet to camera body; I actually wish they made it far more apparent where the alignment was, either by making it a red line, or -like other minolta lens- a big red dome to be seen.TL;DR? I bought it, it fit perfectly. i did not have the problems others had; glad i got it.As with all reviews, i can only speak from my own experience; so all of this should be taken with a grain of salt.

I should have listened to the other reviews. They indicated a tight fit. In fact the adapter did fit my old Minolta camera and was very tight, but it was ok. On my new Sony camera, it did not fit at all. There was no way to make it fit. I tried. I didn't think there was much difference between Minolta and Sony since Sony is the new Minolta, but there is enough difference to make an out of tolerance part not work. I eventually got it too fit, but then it had too much side to side play and was useless.All in all, not worth anything for Sony cameras.

I wasn't sure this was what I needed but it fit my telescope adapter just fine and I was able to get some nice shots of the moon.

T mount works well, attached to a 500mm mirror lens to sony a350 and a230. The mount may be a bit tight, ensure that it is completely turned so that it clicks into place on the camera so locks. The ring has a small adjustable grommit to slacken off so you can align the lense to the camera marks and then re-tighten. Have not taken many photos with the ring attached but those that i have taken have varying focus clarity, but I put that down to ageing eye sight. For the outlay would not hesitate to purchase another if needed.

This T-Adapter is well made and a great value. I use it to connect my Sony A55 to several different telecopes. It works very well. I noted several comments regarding this T-mount, about a tight fit onto the camera. I experienced this initialy as well. The corners of the 3 bayonet flanges are quite sharp "out of the box". By taking a small jeweler's file and very slighltly dressing the sharp corners, The T-mount slides on perfecly: smooth and snug. Should you have to do this to a new product? Why not? These are a great bargin for under ten bucks. I have 3.

Just like the other reviews.... This adapter also did not fit my camera which is a Sony A390. I've aligned the orange dots and it fits right into the three slots like it should but will only turn about a quarter of an inch and of course is far from locking into place. I refuse to force it into my new camera, it should slide right in like the stock lenses right? Just seems like it doesn't really fit for this camera. I've called and did speak with the nice folks at the company and I'm currently trying to work it out with them. I will keep everyone posted on my final result after working with Fotodiox themselves. I'm really hoping they can resolve this issue for me and then I can come back and rave about Fotodiox. Until then, I'll keep my fingers crossed.....

Works.It would have been a "5 Star", but it is just a bit too tight twisting it on and off the camera. This adapter does not fit the Sony A55 camera. The bayonet is so tight that it will not turn and lock into place on the camera.I discovered this on location and had to scramble to find another locally. Luckily the one I found in a camera shop that fit perfectly.Don't know if the one I received is a fluke, or if they are all like that. It is going back, for sure.
