Great part just like stock I have a 2006 Dodge ram 1500 5.7 hemi trx4 , I searched for awhile on here because I didnt want a hurricane sound heavy duty fan clutch that everytime I start or drive my truck the heavy duty ones stay on way to long and in the morning when not needed so I searched and found this one it matched up perfect to the original which I found after pulling mine off and water pump the old one was still good no play in shaft at all , it was the water pump shaft woobled but anyways the fan is quiet my truck runs like it should and no overheating even while towing a 28 ft toyhauler with toys across the desert over 100 degree heat

I drove less than a mile and the fan clutch already went out and took the water pump out from vibration of the fan clutch.

It's a direct replacement for my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 5.7L. The only problem is that it makes a high-pitched whistling noise. It's not the belt, it's the unit. The clutch works fine, it cools and regulates the fan like it's designed to do, it's just the whistling noise. Not enough to warrant trying to RMA and replace or anything, but it's a bit annoying, especially when in drive-thru's or other enclosed areas.I actually don't notice it being loud like a hurricane as other reviewers state. Just normal fan operation for me.
