No lanyard. Prodict images are deceiving. I ordered two pink whistles last year and both came with lanyards. I'm very disappointed.

Great classic whistle. I referee in a large complex and these whistles have a unique sound over a pea whistle, but it does take a little practice to blow if you're not used to one. You will need to use a woodwind (saxophone/clarinet) type blowing motion with an active tongue to get nice, sharp tones. Definitely distinguishable from other whistles around the field. Slightly different sound than my standard black Fox 40.PROS:- Very loud- Rubberized teeth grip is a nice addition over the standard Fox 40- Distinct Sound- Sound CarriesCONS:- requires different blowing action than pea whistle- cannot "Talk/express yourself" through different tones like you can with a pea whistle

Its a Fox40 and it works like it should. Really like the cuschioned grip. Love the orange I can find it quickly in my bag.

I have ordered 4 of the Fox 40 whistles w/mouth guard. It really helps as it is easier to hold in your mouth and keeps you from bitting down on the standard whistle plastic mouth piece. When you blow a whistle 200-300 times in a match it is a lip saver.
