The magnetic system is very easy to use. I love the fact that it comes with a really nice case for the spare lenses. The folds and the compartments are also designed very well so that they don't stick together when you open up the carrying case. This set is perfect for nature photographers that are often just walking around with all their gear. The quick magnet swapping system removes the need to be careful with screwing on/off lenses and hopefully not dropping them as you put them away.

I have had a few variable ND filters in the past but the quality of fixed ND filters is so much better. This kit is also very high quality and comes in a really great "leather" case that is compact while fitting it's own filters plus a couple more. I love the magnetic kit and the filters are so thin, I can stack the UV, CPL, and an ND without vignetting.

I've been buying far more expensive magnetic filters as I slowly swap out my older and less convenient screw-ins. I love the mag ones, far more likely to carry them because they're so quick to change out or stack.Up to now I've been wary of buying the cheaper options because I had heard they don't stay in place well due to weak magnetics. This set is seriously value-priced in comparison to what I've been getting, and needing to fill out another lens these are at least worth trying for myself instead of believing every talking head with motivations. The magnetics on the Freewells are not weak. They may not be quite as strong as the newest from the twice as expensive brand, but try as I might I wasn't able to shake one off my lens. Even a stack of two is solid, though three might be pushing it. I haven't needed to yet. They are super simple in the field, which encourages me to actually use them instead of just planning to. Having a complete set like this, including a protective cap for leaving one on your lens, is the right way to go. I've been buying them one or two at a time due to the expense. The complete filter kit at a value price like this makes far more sense, and leaves me money for a little better glass.

I have always used screw-on filters, and I know many people can relate to the frustration of having a stuck filter that just won't come off. However, these magnetic filters are superior in every way. They are quick and easy to switch out, stackable, and come with a nice lens cover. The semi-hard case keeps everything organized, separated, and easily accessible. I really like this premium quality filter set.

This is the first set of magnetic quick-swap filters I've tried, and I'm in love. The mounting ring attaches smoothly to my existing lenses (or even on top of their existing UV filters, if I'm in a particular hurry). The lenses I use most are 77mm, so this is compatible with all of them. The filters supplied include 3-stop, 6-stop, 10-stop, polarizing, and plain UV. Stacking the filters would give me 19 stops, but that's too dark for almost anything - shooting the Sun directly, you need to crank up the ISO to get enough exposure at 19 stops, or use a tripod and a longer exposure. But having easy access to 3, 6, and 9 (3+6) is super-convenient, and I can imagine a couple of situations where 13 might be useful. (Or I could put the whole stack on top of my 20-stop filter, and do sun-trail photography, I guess...)I may be looking for some extra magnetic rings to keep on ALL my lenses, just so I can swap these filters onto any of them quickly. HIGHLY recommended!

I've been making photographs since I was a child, since the days of darkrooms, chemicals, paper, enlargers, and film: 110, 4x5, and everything in between. I've thoroughly enjoyed the digital imaging realm as well. Yes, I occasionally use filters, and when I'm on location, any convenient and effective solutions are welcomed. This Freewell M2 magnetic quick swap magnetic kit piqued my interest.I tested this 77mm filter kit on my trusty old Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm f/4G ED VR on a D800 body. A classic, preferred landscape lens that isn't a Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 14-24mm F2.8G ED (which does not take filters easily). The instructions, installation, and use were easy. The build quality is top-notch. This solution works flawlessly in the field when you want to swap through many different filters. After installing the magnetic frame, swapping filters was straightforward. I appreciate the magnetic lens cap with a convenient little handle to pull the cap on and off without pulling off the magnetic filters. The kit contains one neutral density (ND) ND1000/ND3.0/10 stop filter, one ND64/ND1.8/6 stop filter, one ND8/ND0.9/3 stop filter, one UV filter, and one circular polarizer filter. I am not a fan of variable neutral density filters, so I liked being able to swap out the different filters. Having the UV filter as the default filter is a nice option. The polarizer worked fine. All of these filters come with an attractive storage case.Regarding filter performance, I found no loss of image quality and no discernible vignetting.Freewell cites that filter construction is from German glass (likely Schott?) and a multi-layered coating that is scratch-resistant, waterproof, dust-proof, and oil-resistant. There is a lifetime warranty on the filters.Overall, it’s a great solution. I like it.

These are nice. The loop on the case lets you attach it to a lanyard. The magnetic seals are great. They are a light weight and the images seem alright, but I keep finding something feeling off about the photos I take with these on them. I think they're tinting things in a way that my camera's white balance isn't dealing with, it's sort of a sky blue tint.

the item that was sent had been previously opened and returned. This was not disclosed prior to purchase and there was no discount for it being an open/second hand item. Open items need to be clearly disclosed and offered at a reduced price.Customers shouldn't be in a position where they think they're buying something new and they receive a second hand item for full price.

It was always such a headache to put on and off conventional type of filters on the lens and that was the reason I never used them except permanently fixed UV filter. Now it is such a fun to experiment with different type of filters, since it is so easy to change them. Magnetic cup is just fantastic, since you have a ring to easily put it on and off with blend installed. Highly recommend.

I recently switched to magnetic filters for my lenses and ended up buying the Freewell filters and Kase magnetic adapter rings. Filters and Kase adapter rings have the same magnetic polarity and are compatible.
