When I saw this product, I nearly fell out of my seat. A few months ago, I received a Bluetooth temperature reader as a birthday gift to use in my greenhouse. It turned out to be a dud and quit working almost as soon as I got it. So, when I saw this product, I jumped to order it.When this product arrived, it didn’t have any directions included, but it did have a a QR code that I was able to scan. From that, I was able to read all about this temperature reader. I also downloaded the app free. And that’s when I realized that two of the pieces which plugged into the side were missing. In short, this product cannot be used without those two pieces.I have to admit that I’m heartbroken. This seems like it could be a really be a really great product and could have the ability to solve my issues with controlling the temperature in my greenhouse.

I have this mounted just inside the door of my fridge because I also keep some medicines in there. So far this appears to be accurate. I like the data logging capability. But most of all, it has a clear simple to read display, which has a stylish and simple design. Some of the competing products just look very cheesy. This one, on the other hand, keeps the nice aesthetics of the high end fridge interior and pleasing to look at when I open the door.

I was seriously looking forward to using this for one of our bedrooms that is having some humidity issues and a freezer that has been icing up something fierce.Unfortunately neither of the temperature probes were included, rendering the device inoperable.

This actually works quite well. The photo shows from when I first set this up and put it in the refrigerator for a couple days. I took it out about once a day to sync it up with the app and it transferred its' collected readings into the app and produced a graph as you see in the photo. What I didn't like is that there are no instructions of any kind included. You *must* scan the QR code to download the app to your phone. One good thing about the app is that registration is *not* required, it can be skipped. The app still works fine but only by registering will you be able to keep long-term data history (in China). And it will nag you every time you launch the app, but just press "Skip".Syncing the data from the unit to the phone requires a bluetooth connection. I found it to be no more wonky than any other bluetooth device I have. The photo shows a high temperature at the beginning because that was the temperature in the kitchen. I can't explain why it went all the way down to zero degrees though.I haven't tried putting the unit itself in the freezer. I think instead I will buy an external temperature probe that can be plugged into the unit.

The overall build of it is nice, but lacking a manual is a real bad choice here. Not all of us want to download a QR reader to read a manual if we don't have one installed, a small "how to" / "getting started" leaflet or something would have been greatly appreciated. For instance, I was able to figure out how to change from C to F (hold the button on top until it switches). But, that's about it.The app is a bit of a burden, too. With only 500 downloads and no reviews, it's a bit questionable to say the least. Then, connecting it proved to be a bit of a challenge...it wouldn't connect until I opened my "Connected devices" in the phone's Settings menu, chose "Add a new device", selected the Freshliance thing, and then went to the Freshliance app and hit the "connect" THERE so they were both trying to connect at the same time. THAT got it to connect. Then, it would correctly show the temp / humidity on the main screen (I have another temp / humidity meter which is extremely accurate, and their readings were the same, so at least accuracy is good), but when I would try to go to the "logging" section, it would start to kick out connection errors until I hit "Retry" several times, then it connected. In all, the device has promise, but the app needs a little streamlining and polish.

I did buy the external probe. Necessary to properly evaluate the unit $29.00 -- the Bluetooth is very weak and needs to be close!. The software appears accurate and quite useful. I intend to use it. The probe should have been included. I use it for monitoring of my freezer. Bluetooth range less than 8 feet.

The app is easy to use and lets you check the data without having to open the device, which is a plus. The accuracy is decent, with temperature within ±0.5°F and humidity at ±3%RH. I like that it comes with 2 years of cloud storage and the ability to export data in PDF/CSV formats. The alarm feature is handy too, but the Bluetooth range could be better. It's pretty good at keeping tabs on temperature-sensitive areas, but a bit pricey for what you get.

Realizing how some our food has become frozen inside our fridge and couldn’t figure out if it’s too cold or what’s the cause. Decided to give this new gadget a try to keep track of the temperature and humidity! Hoping that it will work and allow us to set in the correct temperature of the fridge itself and keep the fresh produce a bit longer !! It came with the probe that I had to plug in to the screen and battery is already included. There’s usb that I can use to charge in the future. And it comes with an app for easy tracking!
