After trying 4 other thresholds, either they were too high where my door wouldn't shut, or too low leaving A air gap between bottom of door and top of threshold seal. This adjustable baby saved the day and eliminated weeks of aggravation. I liked it so well, I bought 2 of them! The old threshold seal was old hard and tearing making the door hard to shut. After installing this threshold, my door has NEVER opened and shut so easily, no more slamming door.

I like the product. The shipping to my location was better than expected. The problem is that when one of the two thresholds arrived, one threshold packaging was opened and the vinyl feet were missing.I contacted customer support and they were VERY supportive. Mailed me replacement parts pronto. I mean FAST!I'm a happy camper!!! Therefore a 5 rating.Good job!

This installed fairly easy. Exterior door on a concrete slab, so I pre-drilled some holes and used Tapcon screws.I had to trim a bit off, and to keep the screws centered I decided to trim a bit off each end. Well, I wish I'd just trimmed it off one end and lived with the screws not being entirely centered in the door frame. Reason being, I used a grinder with a cutoff wheel, and as a result, the grooves for the adjustable height inset got smushed up. It's aluminum after all.No big deal, I just used a small file to work the grooves back into shape, but if I'd only trimmed one end I could have just used the good, factory end to insert the adjustable part and been done with it.The other hard part was inserting the rubber seal after screwing it down. I used a screen spline tool to help roll it into place, which was extremely helpful. If I didn't have that, and had to push it in with a putty knife or something, that would have driven me nuts. Once I used the spline tool and got it mostly in place on both sides, I just had to press down on the middle of the seal and it literally just popped the rest of the way in, which was cool and satisfying.

Overall this is a durable threshold and with the ability to adjust the height makes this easier to work with. The weak point would be the rubber, I can see this not lasting long in an area with high foot traffic. Or with objects scraping the rubber with sharp edges, like if you were dragging something on the ground and accidently run over the rubber without lifting it over.Installing the rubber at first may seem difficult but with a putty knife you will eventually get the hang of it. Then it will just take a while to get the rubber fitted into the grooves.

It's adjustable for large gaps, which is great. But the directions are vague and frostking's video on there website is no help. What they don't tell you:- you need a 5/32" drill bit for drilling a pilot hole. If you are drilling into concrete, you will need a masonry bit. An impact drill will make things easier, but a rotary drill will work, just get more drill bits as masonry bits for rotary drills dull quickly. You'll be lucky if you can drill the required 3 holes with 1 bit.- you need to measure the adjusted height + 1" to determine the screw length. Measure the height after you have installed the side vinyl strips.- you need to get 3/16" screws for the length you need. Tapcon makes screws just for concrete.- you will need a jigsaw and a metal cutting blade- you will need to make a lot of adjustments for older doors. Older doors are 30" wide. You will need to cut off 3" off each side of the threshold. This will result in eliminating the manufacturer's pre drilled holes. So you will need to get a 3/16" drill bit for metal. And a larger one for counter sinking the new holes. Measure 3" in from the ends for the new holes. You will also need to cut notches in the threshold to fit older style door jams- Cutting the threshold for all the adjustments is a bit tricky given the M shape and U shape parts of the threshold.- Give yourself plenty of time to assemble all of the tools and plan your installation.Go to youtube to see how to install aluminum thresholds, especially if you have an older door.

Exactly as described. Fast shipping and very good quality product. I love the adjustability of the threshold. I was able to easily modify the edges with a small hack saw to make it fit the nudges of my doorframe. Once that was done, I easily found the correct height to meet my existing door and “Voila, No more drafty front door!”

It's a door sill. What's to love about it? It works.
