This was a gift for someone. I love this product, as in the past I've used it for some Camper windows enabling a warmer option for a winter retreat. Really works. Happy for the outside inside options!

Awesome! It really works. The only thing is that I glued it on the inside. The label says that it is used for the outside of the window. I am more than sure that it will not hold up when exposed to rain, snow, or wind. But inside it holds up perfectly.Easy to stick.

Basically the same as the standard inside stuff. Adhesive gets bad after a week without any rain.

I temporarily live in a newly refurbished 2nd floor apartment....refurbished with the exception of the windows, which are ancient, single pane units that are basically "anti-energy efficient". I had planned on buying a home before another mid-western winter set in,but with the horrible, unstable economy,I found myself gearing up for another cold season in the apartment. I decided to use insulating film over the windows this year, and read decent reviews on these kits. Also,I bought "outdoor" kits to be installed "indoors",thinking that if they were designed tough enough to withstand outdoor wind and debris, they should be excellent when installed indoors.Wrong....There are pros and cons with these kits that I will list later, but my biggest issue is the absolutely crazy fragility of the plastic film once it is slightly stretched,as per the instructions. Once you get 2 or 3 sides attached and put the slightest "stretch" on the film,it becomes so fragile that you can too-easily pop a hole in it with just the tip of your finger.(I'm a man with short nails,so trust me when I say "finger tip...)And it won't just be a hole, but the stuff will tear and keep tearing just like a potato chip bag for several inches immediately. Both of the windows I've covered so far have masking tape repairs over accidental tears during installation. Also,if you plan on covering anything larger than a small 3'X5' standard window, you WILL NEED HELP.Otherwise you will ruin the film and your patience in one fell swoop. If ,by some twist of fate,I'm still in the apartment next winter,I won't even think about these kits--I'll just go to the hardware store and buy a roll of medium thick plastic sheeting and the same 3M two-sided tape, and save my sanity and a few bucks as well.PROS:Easy to see through, even with less than perfect installationKits are true to advertised sizeTape has good adherence and molds around nail heads, bumps in the paint or rough paint very wellEven though folded in the package, the plastic film "flattens" out fairly easy when installingCONS:Super easy to tear when even slightly stretched;tears will run for inchesFilm is so thin and flimsy,it will "static cling" to almost any surface it gets near, making installation more difficult, hence the "help needed" as previously mentioned. The cost is not feasible considering how delicate the film is and difficulty of proper installation.I gave this product 2 stars due to the decent quality of the tape, and properly sized sheeting;however, unless you have dealt with this product before,I would not recommend it when there are tougher and less expensive alternatives at your local hardware store.

We have a mobile home at the lake in northern Indiana. The winter wind coming off the lake can be brutal. Older mobile homes aren't made with the best windows, or walls for that matter. We've used the Frost King Window Kits for many years to seal up the windows and stop drafts. Using the double sided tape on the metal frames works perfect. We've had very few times that the tape let loose on a corner or somewhere. Other brands, such as Dennison, don't hold up and come off at some point. The Frost King brand we have to peel off in the Spring.Works well for us, so we always use Frost King.
