I took it out of the package and put the batteries in it. the laser will not come on. thinking that it was just the batteries I put a known set of good batteries in it with the same result. it was a waist of my money to buy this one.

If you have a weapon with a scope you need this. After about 25 yards you're going to need binoculars to see the dot. But of course one would hope your scope would do the job. But at 25 yards you'll be able to site anything in provided you have a good target. I would suggest a white background target. You would need to fire the weapon from a stationary position, for example in a vice. Then throw this laser down the bore. If the laser points right at the bullet hole then the laser is accurate, assuming your vice is solid as a rock and doesn't move. If it's accurate then you can set up your sites and scope.

BecauseLook at the pictures, so kindly provided by yours truly, for an idea of what you get. If pictures just don't do it for you: you get a bore sight and six batteries. You now have visual and written confirmation, and may proceed.Ten-Step process to use:1. Take out of package (the bore sight will not work in the package)2. Unscrew the end cap (the bore sight will not work without batteries, and the batteries cannot be inserted with the end cap on)3. Insert the batteries with the correct side "+" up4. Screw the cap back on (the batteries will fall out if the cap is not on)5. Drop the bore sight in the chamber, laser side toward the front (duh!)6. Close chamber7. Get to sighting in!8. You're done9. You're welcome10. Couldn't think of anything else, so you're welcome againFor what it is, what it does, and what it costs (not much): Five Stars

Ordered this bore sight to ensure the optic on the ar350 is setup for the season. Took the ar350 out of storage and fired up this laser bore sight. After measuring out 200 yards and placed a target. Chambered the bore sight, opened the optic, found the target and zeroed the optic at 200 yards (max effectiveness for my rounds is 250 yards). Ejected the bore sight loaded three rounds and let loose. All three rounds were at an impact point acceptable for me.I have learned over many adventures in sighting optics to accomplish laser bore sighting at twilight or dark so you can see the laser at distance. This attempt was no exception and the laser was very visible at 200 yards.Overall, I would highly recommend this laser bore sighter to go your optic close to where you want the impact point to be, then complete fine adjustments as needed.

It took over a month for me to get this after I bought it. I don’t know if it was the supplier’s, Amazon’s or the postal service fault. Once I got it though, works great, I’m not disappointed at all.

But at close to dark the laser shows up. Not sure if the laser needs to be upgraded but I have yet to actully throw some lead down wind. But I did site the laser to my scope.
