I love the look of these rail mounts on my rifle, and they are of good quality aluminum. I purchased the red ones and the colors are true as listed. As long as you align the tightening bracket well before you clamp down, you should be all set. I would definitely buy more. If I had any complaints there would only be one, that would be to have two screws vs having one in the center. However, don't let that stop you from ordering these rail mounts.

Gotta love the look of a black rifle with just a touch of red. I have a red forward assist, red trigger, and a red charging handle. I added a laser and used this to offset it at 45° to keep it out of the sight line. Works great, and the subtle splash of red between the shroud and the laser fits in with the rest of the rifle. Very happy. The one thing I wish was different; the locking mechanism is huge. I would much prefer it be a smaller screw that hid inside the unit.

This is a lightweight and sturdy 45 degree offset that I have used to mount backup iron sights on for my AR.This attaches to the pic rail very easily, assisted by a large knob you can hand tighten to snug up then can use either a wrench or flat head screwdriver to tighten the rest of the way. It is a very snug and secure fit. My sights mounted to this perfectly as well.I know it isn't "tactical" but I like the splash of color it adds to the rifle, just a little bit but not too much since it is mostly covered by the flip up iron sights when they are down. Excellent product for the price.

I review a lot of gun accessories like this 45deg. mount. On far too many accessories they won't say what type of aluminum it is made of. Well, for most gun applications you want 6061 or better, such as 6065 or 7075. If it doesn't say what type, assume it is a soft aluminum. This is on of the good ones.Mounts on your pic rail for a 45deg. offset. This way you can mount a scope on the top pic rail, install this on an unoccupied part of the rail and mount a red dot, other close range or back up sights. If the scope fails or the target is too close for the scope to be effective, just cant your rifle 45degs. and use your close range red dot. Tip: If you will dip your screw threads in Maalox, Mylanta or Milk' o Mag it will act as a anti-seize and mild thread locker. If you don't, over time those steel screws will bound to the aluminum body. Often tearing out the aluminum threads when you try to remove them later. It's an old hot rodders trick. This is a real rifle accessory, not cheap airsoft play junk.

The item came simply packed in a plastic bag. The three arguably most practical colors for most uses are black, tan, or brown (this one). If you are building a larger assembly in that same color, this would be a great match for you. It is CNC machined, made from 6061 aluminum (except for the steel knurled attachment screw), and relatively lightweight at 34.1 grams.It test fit perfectly to a LED light that I had recently got, and it mounts just fine on a Picatinny rail. It is a helpful solution for moving an attached item out of the direct line of fire and over to a parallel line.
