Exclusively from Monstrum, our SAV-01 Dual Ring Scope Mount for Savage Arms Axis/Edge Rifles is a dedicated scope mounting platform built specifically for Savage Axis or Savage Edge platforms. Precision machined from 6061 grade aluminum, it is the most rigid, lightweight, and easy to install mounting solution on the market.
The scope mount base installs directly to the Savage Axis/Edge factory mounting holes via the included set screws. No additional mounting hardware is required.
The rings are 1 inch in diameter for precision mounting of standard 1 inch tube rifle scopes. The low profile rings provide 0.7 inches of height, measured from the base of the mount to the bottom of the scope tube.
The rings are spaced 2.4 inches apart. The mount weighs a mere 3 ounces, comparable to most scope rings but with the added rigidity of a unified one piece mount.

Great one piece mount fits perfectly. However, the mounting screws are slotted, which makes it easy to "cam out" when tightening. If it had star mounting screws like it does with the top pieces, I would give it 5 stars.

This fit perfectly . Made it easy to set the eye relief, Be aware that this particular mount is for early Axis models, check your serial number. I did use the factory screws.

The base mount screws to small in diameter ,could not use them at all. very troubling for me to mount the scope that I bought from you a month or so ago. Please contact manufacture of savage scope mount of my trouble!! Ronney L. Roach.

Editing my review to 1 star because the screws are so bad that I'm not sure what the point is in even trying to produce and sell a product that depends so critically on being able to tighten the screws to specific, manufacturer-provided tolerances. Flathead screws made of zinc to be torqued to 15+ foot pounds? Really? And you couldn't be bothered to provide a bit head for the hex screws that go in the rings? Just an Allen key? As a complete product, it's just so thoughtlessly put together.In the name of all things good and wonderful, I don't know why a gun parts manufacturer would elect to provide anything other than steel screws, especially for a part that needs to be torqued to 15+ inch pounds to hold the scope zeroed. I think I managed to get them tight enough, but the screws will need to be replaced if the mount ever comes off the gun. Everything else is great. Fits the Feyachi Falcon 3-9x40mm scope on the Savage Axis II perfectly.

Second product I have used from this company. Seems to be well made. Only thing I didn’t like was the flathead screws. These need to be swapped out.

I used the "New Version" mount on a Savage Axis XP chambered in 350 Legend with the factory Weaver scope. I placed a small drop of thread locker on the screws and snugged everything down. I went to the range a couple days later and my first shot the windage was nearly perfect. Adjusted the scope a couple clicks left and up and was sighted in at 100 yards in 4 shots. I didn't know how I felt about the action mounting screws being regular slotted screws instead of hex or Torx, but I took my time and they worked fine. The ring screws are great and they gave a couple extra screws, which was nice. Wish they had all Torx screws, but not worthy of deducting a star for that. This is a nice one piece mount for $25-30!
