Could not find an exact Craftsman replacement; this cap fits my 20HP Craftsman lawn tractor perfectly, replacing a broken original that came with the tractor 20 years ago. Glad to find one that fits - not sure if the gas level indicator is exact, but it certainly is correct when indicating "FULL", and there may be some gas left when it hits "EMPTY", but that is my "reserve", I guess. All in all this is an excellent replacement cap.

I did a full restoration on my 78 john deere 400 and the only part I really needed was the fuel cap, this one fit good but the read gauge does not sit straight like the cracked original, it tightened up 90° past strait up
