About this item

  • Increases grip on X-T2
  • Access to battery door without removing grip
  • Works with X-T2
  • Arca Swiss compatible

Metal hand grip for X-T2 improves the grip on the camera and reduces the chances of camera shake, especially when using heavy, large aperture lenses. This grip can be left in place when using a tripod and enables users to change the battery and SD card without having to remove the grip from the body. The Arca Swiss plate can be used as a quick release with compatible tripods.

Fits my hand perfectly to let the camera hang by my side. Let’s you carry it this way for a while without fatigue. Even comfortable with my 50-140 on there. Doesn’t bulk up the camera. Should have bought this a while ago.

Fit and finish for a used item is amazing!Glad I didn't go for a third party option.Makes a huge difference to the camera with heavy lenses like the XF 56mm.

This makes the camera so much more comfortable to hold. I don't even have massive hands or anything and with this added it feel right. Highly recommend buying this product.

Could have saved some money and bought an aftermarket one but this one was in new condition and a little cheaper than full retail. Happy with it, fits great and supports my X very well in my hand.

I really love my Fuji gear. Since I believe the company over-prices their grips (not the battery variety), I have twice now tried a lower priced version marketed by other companies -- first for an X-T1 and now for my just arrived X-T2. Same result both times. Fuji bodies feel best with Fuji's own grips. Unashamedly overpriced, but we only go around once, folks, and the tactile aspects of these fabulous small cameras are very important to me and may also be the same to you. This grip is perfect. Don't balk at the cost. Get one while you can. [added several days later: the price on the Fuji brand grip appears to have already gone up about 20% since this review -- due to scarcity, I suppose.]

I recently got two heavy zoom lenses. My X-T2 wasn't as balanced as with the lighter lenses. I got this in hopes that it would make the camera easier to grip. I would give this 10 stars if I could. It makes the camera significantly easier to grip while in a shooting position. To my surprise it also is easier to grip when holding in my right hand with my arm at my side. You can kind of cup your fingers and let the camera hang from your fingertips. The finish is 100% the same as the X-T2. tThe bottom plate is inobstrusive. The camera doesn't look like it has an add-on. It just looks like a camera. I probably will take it off when using a small prime lens, but then maybe I won't. I'm super happy. BTW the screw head has a female tripod hole so you don't need to remove the hand grip to use a tripod. The access to the battery door works perfectly. I see no downsides to this product.

yes, fujifilm's accessories are ridiculously priced. however, this grip offers something none of the competition does: it keeps the original location of the tripod screw. the tripod screw receptacle is located in the proper position on the X-T2, centered along the lens axis for proper balance. the screw used has a large head and is tapped for 1/4"-20 and driven by a standard flat head, therefore letting you screw adapters, d-rings, etc. directly into the attachment screw and centered on the lens axis. most importantly, this location prevents obstruction of the battery door. for most, this won't matter since the bottom plate is grooved for ARCA-Swiss compatibility and even includes a tapped hole for a safety bolt to be installed (but is not included).on the left side of the plate, there is a relief cut to allow the routing of a battery adapter like the Tether Tools Case Relay power system to adapt your camera to AC power or external batteries for times when you need extended power-on, like while filming video, time lapses or tethered in a studio. this relief cut is right next to the plugged port by the battery door and allows you to route the power cable safely from the compartment and between the grip plate and camera bottom. this helps keep the cable out of the way and secure, reducing the risk of damage if inadvertently tugged.the grip extension itself is perfect for my hand. you may wish it were a bit taller but it was designed as such to give your finger easy access to the front control dial, no matter your hand size. best of all, it adds just enough length to the bottom so my pinky finger stays on the grip instead of curling uncomfortably under the camera bottom without it. for me, the difference in comfort is worth every penny, allowing me to carry the camera all day without my hand cramping. YMMV, of course.aesthetically, it's perfect, obviously. fujifilm designed this alongside their camera, so it matches in fit, finish and materials. the rubber grip matches in both look and texture to that of the camera. it's wraps rearward to the edge of the memory card door, being careful to not obstruct it, while increasing the girth slightly to better fill your palm. if you have the black version, the finish will help it blend nicely into your camera's body and almost disappear to the untrained eye.the competition's products are far cheaper but they all have deficiencies of varying degrees. some are ergonomically poor, exhibit poor fitment, or use less than ideal materials, but all of them relocate the tripod screw hole. for most that may not matter but for some, like me, it's an unforgivable sin.the grip on the X-T2 is good enough for most hands and most lens combinations, but this becomes a need for outliers like me and maybe you, too. i only wish fujifilm had made a version in graphite silver to match the finish of my graphite silver edition X-T2.

Well built. Having the extra bit of grip, the arca swiss compatibility, and access to the battery compartment are all great design choices.

Definitely improves the ergonomics of the camera body, especially if you have a little bigger hands. I now have a more secure and comfortable grip. The only negative is while the base plate of the grip is metal (aluminum I'm guessing) the grip itself is made entirely of plastic, and feels a bit flimsy as though is could break without too much effort... all in all, the grip is not the same build quality as the x-t2 body, but I will be keeping it, as the improved ergo's make it worth it for me... side note, the grip portion is held on by 2 small screws, so in the event it breaks it would likely be possible to have a new grip made from say wood.
