With LEDs, I guess the need for these ballasts is lessening? The unit I ordered has a "simplified" wiring diagram from the older version with the same model.Instead of a quick replacement, it required some re-wiring of the light fixture making it a pain to install. It's very frustrating that they seem to have broken direct compatibility and left the installer with a lot more work.

This part saved me $200 over a replacement ballast from Oase. I disassembled the burned out ballast enclosure and found the Fulham ballast inside. Took me less than 30 mins to get the new unit installed and back on my pond. The original lasted about 4 years, probably would have lasted longer if I changed the bulbs before they burned out!
